4 years ago today the Access Hollywood tape was dropped and cost Trump the election*

Be honest, who else thought it was over? I remember sending a text to a friend conceding the race and mentally preparing myself for a Clinton presidency. In the first couple of hours following the drop it was like rats jumping off a sinking ship. Kellyanne released a forceful statement distancing herself from Trump. Lawmakers across the country were calling for Trump to drop out and for Pence to take the mantle. Trump pulled off the biggest MacGyver in political history and somehow convinced his crew to remain intact and held on to win. Which if why I still have faith he can pull out 2020. He has yet to reach the depths of that October 2016 day.

Because it became clear that this recording had been around a long time but had been held back for this moment,
the public quickly recognized it as a dirty trick. This blunted its impact.

Had Trump been a self righteous holy roller it might have been a knockout punch but his popularity was never built on sanctimony. I think quite frankly as time went on and such sparse scandalous info was leaked people were impressed at his relative self restraint. Which is why the pee tape story never stuck.

Honestly, I never thought Trump could win the 2016 election, and I went to bed that night believing Clinton would be POTUS. 
Now, it's hard to imagine Trump can lose to Biden, Pelosi, and the crazy Left Democrats.

I have decided that the key to America being able to move forward is for there to be arrests of marxists/Democrats for the criminal acts they are committing. THAT is the biggest damage to the country.
If we cant start doing that, its time to start separate countries.

The establishment tried to jump off at the first sign of trouble and the regular joe was like what the hell! If you read the transcripts of what Bill Clinton DID in the Oval Office they were WAY worse and the other choice was giving his wife the presidency.
That night and the next day I didn’t think he’d win because I thought too much pressure would be put on him to drop out. But I was pissed off about it because the same media who was acting aghast had told me 20 years ago that I shouldn’t care what went on in the Oval Office between a president and his intern
