I don't question Trump anymore, mate. He winds up being right 99% of the time

There’s no way you could know that.
A DEI hire isn’t someone who has no qualifications. It’s someone who benefited from preferences based upon diversity, equity and inclusion standards.

If you are dumb enough to actually believe this, then you have absolutely ZERO credibility.

I think the problem many of you are missing is someone can work really hard and put in the effort and still not deserve or be qualified for a promotion.
Effort alone does not make you qualified whatsoever. It is a part of it, but cannot simply lead to promotion.
This is what leads to failures.
I have no idea if she deserved the title/position or not, but it was clear that gross Pilot error led to this tragedy, and she was the pilot. You have to question her qualifications and by her own parents’ statement, she did not have the claimed 500 hours of flight time. Also, was that 450 hours of actual flight time or were they counting simulation time as well?
It’s a tragedy all around and condolences to her family, but 70 other people’s families are in mourning almost assuredly because of her frick up.
Add in selfish congressman overloading that airport for their convenience along with military leaders using air travel in helicopters to beat traffic, and you get things like this.

How many times are you going to repeat this?
Nobody is denying that DEI exists.
Nobody is denying that it's bad.
Nobody is denying that some people unjustly pass up better candidates because of DEI policies.
Nobody is denying that it degrades society, institutions, and specifically in this case, the military.
Nobody is denying that is has cost lives and will cost lives in the future if not rooted out.
All anybody is saying is that neither YOU nor anyone else on this internet message board can determine, right now, based on the information we have today, whether DEI played a role in THIS event.

I looked up her on the NC voter rolls and she voted in Dem primary in 2020 after voting in the Rep primary in 2016. Guessing she was Kamala all the way. Def not adorable.

she wasn't a dei hire
You don’t know that.
I mean, her being an aide for Biden at least makes her being a DEI hire plausible (if not likely).

Kash worked under Obama, Dan bongino was obamas secret service. As long as she didn’t bring politics into her job she can support who she wants.
Is that really true?
Rachel Levine and Sam Brinton come to mind.
Biden picked a supreme court justice because she was a black woman.
His press secretary was a black lesbian woman
His VP was a black woman.
His secretary of transportation was a gay man.
His secretary of defense was picked because he's a black man. (Probably the most likely situation comparable to this one-relevant experience but picked based on race)
How many more examples do we need? The current left is religiously devoted to their stupid insanity and it is LITERALLY KILLING INNOCENT PEOPLE.
This was a small routine training flight and 68 people died.
Why aren't people livid? This country is toast.

There’s probably 50 people who post on this board tho would deny all those things.

A lot of mental gymnastics required there. I don’t believe any of it.

No. The helo accepted a visual clearance. It was on them to avoid other traffic.

He’s made that very clear over the years with disparaging remarks about veterans and wounded warriors. As a veteran who comes from a long line of veterans in my family, I find it despicable for anyone to devalue any American’s service to our country.
Which remarks are we talking about? Are we sure you're a veteran.

You sure are emotional about the lie that you chose to (disgustingly) spread.
Let me guess, you were National Guard, never served on active duty, and now you work for the Mayor in Memphis or Nashville.

So much bullshite in the this thread. Was she DEI or on an accelerated program? Who knows but it sounds like she put in the time and effort. She did what was asked of her.
The fact is that bad things happen even to good people with the best of intentions. She had 500 hrs and her instructor had 1000 yet neither noticed they had deviated from their flight plan and altitude (if reports are true). I have no doubt that these individuals believed themselves to be properly trained, motivated and able to perform this flight. Don’t blame the individuals - blame the system that wants to promote and push people along. Were there multiple failures in the past on evals that were overlooked? Don’t know but that’s not her fault. Was the instructor also pushed along and in over his head? What the hell was he doing when they deviated from their flight path and altitude? Again don’t know.
Likewise, we have an ATC controller covering two boards in a congested airspace because an individual was let off early (again, if reports are correct). Reports also that they have been understaffed for years.
It’s tragic that the lives of good people have to be lost due to govt incompetence in providing the resources and training for essential functions.
