People need health insurance, there's already so many that can't even get Obamacare or Medicaid

Is it? Had 15 years and they’ve come up with nothing.
If Rs actually wanted to get rid of it, they’ve never been serious about that desire. Just pandering.

No, I 100% understand how leeches who want me to pay for their healthcare would find it very helpful.

There’s a reason millions of people in red states are enrolled.
The majority of those getting health insurance in the individual market are getting subsidies, which means the taxpayers are paying a portion of their monthly premium. That is why it is popular for some people.

I would assume most are in areas where they have a lot of people on Obama Care so they will self preserve. Its not like the Republicans have came up with an alternative.

So you know your position is a losing one? At least you’re aware.
Healthcare isn’t an option for people and the scoreboard is quite clear. Republicans have spent 15 years pretending this isn’t true to their own detriment.

Won’t get through the Senate

Yep. Speaks volumes about how bad the private options are for low income folks.

MAGA take note - Thomas Massie voted no.

That’s not what I said at all. Not surprising that your dumbfrick self can’t read for comprehension.
And when the program runs out of other people’s money, it will end. Just as Canadian government funded healthcare will end in my lifetime.

It's the DOGE cuts all over again.

They don’t have a viable alternative and republicans have made no efforts to give them one.
Until republicans realize this and do something about it, expect it to keep happening.

You’re pretending Obamacare is viable. This debate and the last 12+ years have shown it’s not.
The subsidies are $300/ Obamacare enrollee per month over the next 10 years.
People who understand numbers know that isn’t sustainable.

Make those frickers pay their own insurance.

quote:You don't really have another option if you aren't offered employer insurance. All 1099 employees and non-salaried career people that aren't on Medicare/Medicaid kind of have to roll with Obamacare. Most people might say they don't want it to pass, but then again, most people like saving a little money so it is what it is.
Most folks don’t have any idea how popular the ACA actually is, despite its flaws. The very online right has this idea that it’s loathed and it just doesn’t line up with reality.

It is viable if they continue to subsidize it, which is exactly what will keep happening (w more and more republicans supporting it). The debates are meaningless wo any real alternatives being offered.
Either wait for the Dems to roll out universal or build something better. Complaining that republicans are voting for the ACA given that so many of their constituents use it (w again no legitimate alternative) is a waste of time and out of touch w reality.
