For the fourth straight year, ESPN.com and the TrueHoop Network are ranking every NBA player and counting them down on Twitter (@ESPNNBA) from No. 500 to No. 1. We asked our ESPN Forecast panel to predict the overall level of play for each player for the upcoming NBA season. This includes both the quality and the quantity of his expected contributions, combined in one overall rating.
They are down to the top 10 players for this upcoming season.
I predict this will be the order of the remaining players:
1. LeBron James
2. Kevin Durant
3. Chris Paul
4. Russell Wesbrook
5. Stephen Curry
6. Blake Griffin
7. Anthony Davis
8. Kevin Love
9. James Harden
10. Dwight Howard
What are your predictions?

Predictions? Rocket fans won't be happy with the ranking of Anthony Davis

Did that hurt? I'm envisioning you with a disgusted look on your face as you typed it.
ETA2: This Rockets fan thinks AD is right where he should be. As is Dwight. Harden should be a litle higher, but whatever.
ETA: Actually, I think AD is/will be better than Griffin.

2 top 10 players is great thing. Once you get past Lebron and Durant the rankings often reflect the flavor of the week moreso than the actual best player so I wouldn't put too much stock into the rankings. That being said, I'll predict:
1. LeBron James
2. Kevin Durant
3. Blake Griffin
4. Chris Paul
5. Russell Wesbrook
6. James Harden
7. Dwight Howard
8. Anthony Davis
9. Kevin Love
10. Stephen Curry
1. LeBron James
2. Kevin Durant
3. Blake Griffin
4. Chris Paul
5. Russell Wesbrook
6. James Harden
7. Dwight Howard
8. Anthony Davis
9. Kevin Love
10. Stephen Curry

I think Davis will be higher than 7. People are buying the hype, big time.

I'll admit I didn't think they'd both be in the top 10.
I think Davis is better than Griffin but I think Gtiffin will still be ranked ahead of him.

1. Lebron
2. KD
3. Paul (Reputation - I don't really think he's the 3rd best player in the league though...)
4. Griffin
5. Curry
6. Howard
7. Davis
8. Westbrook
9. Love
10. Harden
By the end of the year, I think it will look closer to this
1. James
2. Durant
3. Davis
4. Curry
5. Griffin
6. Paul
7. Dwight
8. Westbrook
9. Harden (I think he defers more to dwight this year)
10. Aldrige
I am a Kevin Love fan, but similar to Bosh who was considered a top 10 player before going to Miami, I don't think he remains on this list.

Davis is getting a lot of hype that will put him ahead of the Currys and Loves. He'll have to proof it on the court to leapfrog the Hardens, D12s, Brons, KDs of the league.

I can see your argument for everyone on the list except Harden. It shouldn't take much to pass him up.

I hope not for Houston's sake. Ignore the haters because he doesn't give a frick on defense and Pels fans like to troll Rockets fans. Harden is an elite offensive player. In terms of effectiveness, he and Curry are similar players- the ability to carry a top 10 offense- with bad, bad defense.

the guy that led his team to two early 1st round exits the past 2 years. Shooting 38% and still taking 20 shots per game

If you must have PGs in the list, those dudes should be at the bottom of the top 10 or out of it. Every team in the league has a good one it seems like. Where is the value there?
I'd rather see a cousins or Drummond on one of these lists

Well Harden is clearly the best 2 in the league that cements his top 10 ranking. He took a Houston team to the playoffs in his first season that didn't really have a lot of talent tbh. Davis hasn't gotten his team close. SO like I said, until he does it on the court....

Not much more, he's still going to average around 22.5 -23, maybe more since Chandler is gone, but the last couple of games in the playoffs he made it a point to try to find Dwight, who looked as good as I've ever seen him. He was healthy and averaged like 28 and 14. I'm not expecting him to do that, but there will be more of an inside outside game this year. I expect Dwight to dominate.
