The smart move would be to get Dwight involved more.

Blake Griffin and Anthony Davis are too low.

True. He looked spry in the playoffs. Houston also lost in 6 (Thanks Fear- it felt like 5)
Dwight just screws up their flow. They want to launch 3s and attack the rim. If he were more willing to be a dive man on PnR, I'd be with you. But he wants to be Shaq. He never had the moves and he doesn't have the athleticism any more. And he's never been much of a passer, so the ball is likely not coming back out.
ETA- I like Dwight as a player. Always have. One of the best defensive players the league has ever seen. And underrated offensively too. I just like Harden a hell of a lot more.

on a last second shot at that. Lamarcus Aldrige averaged 44 points the first two games. I thought we looked a lot better when we dumped it down to Dwight. Two solid big men, Lopez and Aldrige, couldn't stop him.
I am not saying the offense will just come to a hault, but he's going to get more touches than he did last year and he should IMO. Don't get me wrong, James isn't going from a 24.5 guy to a 19 ppg player, but I do think Dwight will have more of an offensive presence in year 2.

If you must have PGs in the list, those dudes should be at the bottom of the top 10 or out of it. Every team in the league has a good one it seems like. Where is the value there?
I'd rather see a cousins or Drummond on one of these lists
Noah is 12th and Marc Gasol is 14th (was 10th last year)

Davis is getting a lot of hype that will put him ahead of the Currys and Loves. He'll have to proof it on the court to leapfrog the Hardens, D12s, Brons, KDs of the league.
2013-2014 PER
Kevin Durant 29.8
Lebron James 29.3
Anthony Davis 26.5
James Harden 23.5
Dwight Howard 21.3
PER don't lie lololololololol

I'd put those two over howard, but espn has been fueling the howard hype train even when it was out of coal
Kwahi, Dirk are two others that deserve mention

PER doesn't lie bro I don't think I've ever said that. Please link where I posted PER lies IMO. PER is great but it doesn't tell the whole story. If you can't lead a team to the playoffs in a league where over half of the teams do, you have a hard time making a case for that player over one who has lead a team of less talented players to the playoffs (Harden) or a team to the NBA FINALS (d12). Davis will get his due when his stats lead to Ws.

Hey Boom is the one that said "PER don't lie" and then when he found out that it proved the exact opposite point he was trying to make, he moved the goalposts. I just like messing with him about it.

Really? I'm not really an advanced stats guy, but lets run with this.
PER league ranking:
Tony Parker #45
Joakim Noah #30
Brook Lopez #7
Brandon Wright #13
Kawhi Leonard #36 (and equal to Joradan Hill)
So is this what we're using as the "be all, end all" stat to judge player rankings?
Since PER don't lie lololololol?
ETA: Sorry, didn't realize this comment was based on you and Booms personal pissing match.

That's exactly what you said. You said PER Don't Lie.
And then when everybody came in and told you that PER in fact proved that Davis was playing signficantly better than you were giving him credit for...you moved the goalposts.
I happen to agree with you that PER doesn't ever tell the whole story.

Yes bunchy's an idiot, he's trying to use an imaginary argument that I never made against me.

Fair enough. Lopez and Aldridge aren't great one on one, but Dwight did murder them. To me, I would rather Dwight go off than let Harden get in a groove finding open spot up shooters. I don't double him. I don't think Dwight can win a series on his own like maybe he could in Orlando. Back injuries for bigs are scary, even if he looked better in Houston as the year went on.

Shall I pull up the thread? You definitely did and then did your typical troll two step.
Its ok. Instead of just constantly trolling, making legitimate points to begin with.
I agree that PER doesn't tell the whole story.

What about when those two players ,who led teams of less talented players to the playoffs, join forces only to be embarrassed by Portland? Two top 10 players!
That's worse than Davis not being able to lead shitty teams to the playoffs me thinks
