If he was shot with an 08, they would think it was a chihuahua cause there would be nothin left but bark.

The same prejudices could be applied to certain races of humans as are applied to pits...but that would be racist and is frowned upon. We should probably ban guns too as long as we are encroaching on people's rights to own things which are safe if handled correctly and ruined in the public eye because sometimes the aren't....fricking liberals.

Yes we should, you yourself have taken the following two positions.

1). You can't control your dog( admitting that she gets lose and you have no ability to keep it from happening)
2.) you value yours pits ability to roam greater than a human childs life.

So, yes, you should be outlawed from owning a dog and procreation.

So many other choices of breeds that don't have to have their dismemberment instinct constantly suppressed.

Is all I need to know.

Hunt with them, keep them caged or on a ranch--that's all fine and well. I will never have my children or dogs anywhere near them. Just not worth the risk.

Just a little tidbit:

Pits were breed to be aggressive and fighters, but they were also bred to be not one ounce whatsoever aggressive towards people. They were raised were the could be in a full out fight and all the master had to do was grab their collar and they'd stop. Any that showed any signs of aggresiveness were killed, not even a second thought just killed.

Its when all the ones that should've been killed for their aggresiveness got im the hands of bad dog owners, who let them breed with other "bad" dogs.... the breed started going south.

I actually believe I had read cocker spaniels were at the top. But give me the choice of being bitten by a cocker spaniel or a pit and im gonna go with the first one

No doubt. I think I stand a chance at beating a cocker spaniel's arse enough to make it give up.

Closer to 75%. They also killed their owners more than any other breed.

Pit's can be owned responsibly and I imagine most never have issues. I also think owners gloss over the propensity Pit's have to kill, particularly when paired with another. If you have kids coming over regularly to your house, I would definitely question why someone would have them considering the track record. It isn't always ghetto dogs who do the killing. I really don't have a problem with people owning Pit Bulls, but I do find the constant defense and rationalization to be bothersome.

I had a German Shepard for almost 10 years and I would put her up in a separate room when any company came around. She was never trained to be aggressive, bu it's in their nature in some situations, and you can't take that away. No matter how many people try to deny it, Pits are a dangerous breed.
