Black dudes that don't have a car roll with pit bulls.
that goes with the breeding. i have my theories on that which is extensive.
brothers and white trash think a "bad dog" is aggressive by nature. they want to breed the most aggressive male to the most aggressive female they come across. to these frickers that makes the "baddest" dog. these groups can screw up a breed. they have no clue what makes a good dog.
i just read and laugh to myself when threads pop up about pits.

Have you ever been around a bird dog, with no training it still has an instinct to find birds. Same with a retriever it still has a desire to retrieve. Some individual dogs have a stronger desire to hunt and retrieve than others. Some of these dogs might live in an environment, such as a appartment, with little exposure to encourage these instincts, but they still have them.
Pitts have these same traits, only it is aggressiveness. Some dogs might be less aggressive but deep down these dogs have been breed to be aggressive...

cant say i have ever been around any bird dogs but i have been around a lot of the "dangerous" breeds who have been bred proper.
i have coonhounds and curs and my best family dog is an american/pit. she is all around good dog.
trust me i know about the pitts that will turn on you but its all about breeding and handlers in my opinion.

I don't like em. They have their place. Mainly catching hogs or kept in a cage.
I don't like things I can't trust. I can't trust a pit bull no matter how "harmless, gentle, sweet etc" they are. And I've been around em plenty.

i reckon i am that 1% then. i like the breed if they are raised to do a job besides a fighting dog.
i know they are more aggressive than a retriever but the ones i have raised i truely trust.

I have been around several that were good dogs. Usually it is how they are raised.
However, I will never have one and will never have one around my kids, simply because of the fact that if they are triggered and decide to attack there is almost no stopping them. They are extremely strong and vicious fighters. After all, they are animals and you cannot 100% control them, so there is always a chance that something will set them off.
They get such a bad rap because so many of their owners are white/black trash. They either raise them to fight, or mistreat them causing them not to trust/love humans, or they are left to roam and fend for themselves, causing them to become like wild animals. Most of the time it is these types that attack (but not always).
