You may very well be the 1% but I would never have one around children.

I've been around some great pits but you never know when they'll lose it and when they do, there's no stopping them.

Train them right.

They can be great dogs.

I'm not a pit hater or any breed of dog hater at all.

It's all about how you raise them. Bottom line IMO

akitas do not have the stamina to hang with a good pit.

I don't blame you. Its a shame that they ruined the reputation of such a brilliant dog.

everyday when i work i deal with dogs and people who should be shot on spot. it seems the trashier the person, the shittier the dog.

pitts do have their purpose. great hog and family dog if raised right.

even the best fighting dogs were not breed to be people aggressive. i will leave my knowledge of that out of this disscussion.

My only contact with pits is my neighbors. Which conveniently gets out and they dont even go look for it. Theyve had the cops/animal control called on them several times. They say she just shows back up after a few hours.

The girl even confronted me one day and I had to tell her to STFU in the middle of the street.

I can say though, that after the last time a few cops showed up at their house, I havent seen the dog since.

I have a pit/ lab mix that is smarter and more loving than any full lab I've ever owned. Of course, my wife wont let me have a blue pit, but I love the breed.

My chessie and shorthair would agree

When my pit gets out I don't go look for her cause she always comes back, I guess that would make her undefeated. If your kid is frickin around in the street unsupervised and unarmed that's his fault...

If your responding to me. I dont have kids and I could care less about the dog. I just shared my experience which is slim to none with a pit and their owners.

And I live in a neighborhood, not some country redneck bullshite where a dog can roam and not leave the property.

That said, the same goes for your pit, if its frickin around in the street unsupervised thats your fault. Dont blame me when I put a bullet in it because it was chasing the kid next door.

Your dog does not have the same rights as a person.
