I went to academy on Juban yesterday and picked up bin of 5.56. Needless to say they are on the very very low side. I plan on hitting a range here to sight in my nano which I still haven't done and I got a aimpoint H2 to sight in on my AK102.

any If y’all hoarding ammo since the outbreak?

I invested in some reloading equipment and supplies years ago. I have enough brass, primers, powder, and bullets to make ammo for everything I shoot except shotguns and rimfire.

I always have at least 5K rds of 5.56, 9mm, 45 acp and 15K of 22lr. I have about 2K rds of 300BO half super and half subs.

Order online when prices are right and shipping is free. I like it when they ring the doorball and have me sign for a load.

Been buying since the Mooslum first got elected. Not for a full on extended firefight, but enough to supply food for the rest of my life.

Haven’t bought anything during the current panic, but may change that tomorrow.

how do you do it? everytime you went to walmart/academy for something, always say "i'll grab a box while i'm here." or was there a system to it?

I only buy ammo for the rimfires, 380 ACP, 9mm and 45 ACP. Can't get the centerfire ammo from WM anymore .My system:
Always have a couple thousand primers on hand (all types) at all times.
Always have plenty of powder on hand.
Order a little handgun, rimfire ammo and whatever else I need (like bullets)whenever Midway (or anyone else) has free shipping.
Once I determine I'm going to use significant amounts of a particular gun powder, I buy an 8# keg of it.
PS: On a trip to DFW 10 days ago I bought 9# of powder and 2000 primers. OTOH, I tend to go through a lot of primers, powders and bullets since I go on 2 prairie dog hunts/year and load for my son, son-in-law and a guest I like to bring.

Sportsman's guide does a 4 month pay plan on any orders over $150. I find that you can easily budget to get a couple thousand rds per gun in a year.

I have enough to survive a few weeks of the apocalypse but if it drags on for a year or more I might be in trouble.

i laughed pretty good back in 2012 when I started to buy ammo, and KingRanch said the following:

Me: "SHould i buy 500 rounds since they are __cents per round?"

KingRanch: "LOL, Ive got 500 rolling around on my floorboard."

I'm good with what I have but my wife asked yesterday if I "have enough ammo". Obviously I said no. Looking forward to a couple good range days in the future.

This is how its done. I did the same. sgammo thanked me

I've got about 20k rounds in 556/300aac, a few bricks of .22, at least a case of shotguns shells for 10, 12, and 16, and at least 100 rounds for each centerfire rifle I own so I think I'm able to defend the crib for now.

I'm sitting on about ~1200 total rounds, mostly in three different sizes, but I just ordered 250 more. This is a guess on my current stock. I will count when I get home to get a more accurate number in case I need to order more. I feel comfortable sitting at around 1500.

ETA: That number doesn't include 22LR. I have about 1k of that alone.

So I was close with my estimate. I have a total of ~2100 rounds including the following calibers:

9mm
38sp
30-30
223
16g
410
12g
7.62x54R

And I just ordered 250 more.
