You people are so stupid hoarding ammo.

I get it, it makes you feel better.
But fact is you can only shoot one gun at a time.
I own 2 pistols, 5 shotguns and 5 rifles.
I may have 100-150 rounds total.

Those will serve me same as you people with “shelves collapsing” numbers.

And FTR I have buddies that are same as y’all and I tell them same thing, they are fricking stupid.
They generally have no response bc they know I’m right.

The reason to hoard ammo is that you buy cheap then when you have times like this when there’s a shortage, you can still enjoy the hobby without worrying about being able to replenish your stock until things get normal again. Which can potentially take years to get completely normal and decent prices again.

If that’s all the ammo you keep on hand, you obviously don’t train or target practice enough to be proficient with your firearms, especially pistols. I can easily blow through 150 rounds in a short afternoon of target shooting.

You are correct, if there ever was a situation that would require a individual to have thousands of rounds to have a chance of survival all is lost, no individual is going to fight a war and survive. I can see having a stockpile of 22LR if someone plans to spend years living isolated in a secluded area, but for self protection a 100 rounds would be plenty.

You’re right... I don’t.
And my response wasn’t aimed to those who shoot bc they enjoy it. ... or sport.

I hunt.
That’s pretty much the extent of my gun shooting.

I bought extra mags last time. Figured I could sell a few after the next sandy hook and 'cover some of my costs/ bankroll my next restocking'.

I’ve been hoarding ammo since inventory replenished after Sandy Hook. Anybody that waits for a crisis to then buy is behind the 8 ball

Same here. I told myself I would never have to worry about ammo shortage again. I did buy some .380 and 45 acp defense ammo last week.
