What will the effect be of non-permitted concealed carry?

As a life long gun owner, outdoorsman, general gun enthusiast, and pro-rights/anti-regulation kinda person, I ponder this question.
I'm sure there's many facets of this that haven't crossed my mind, so what are some of the effects that you see with more folks legally carrying concealed, not requiring a permit?
And from my own personal point of view: I've never had a cc permit, so I've never carried, but now I might be tempted to now and again.

The criminals already carried so nothing will change on that front
I can see law abiding citizens carrying more frequently at places like grocery stores, wal mart, etc but I believe you still can't carry when drinking or at venues that sell booze which is most large events in LA.

I have a conceal carry permit. I have actually never carried though...
I would definitely take a course that teaches the laws of conceal carry. You can take the bearco.com one online for $100.
You definitely need to know where you can and can't carry along with laws revolving around engagement.

I bet nothing really changes. It's just nice to know you'll be able to CC if you are going somewhere that feels unsafe without the risk of being ticketed for it.

I have had CCW for more than 30 years in both Louisiana and Missouri. When LA first went to CCW permits there was fear mongering that there would be shootings at every stop light and grocery store. That didn’t happen.
When MO went to Constitutional carry some years ago, there was the same argument against that. Nothing really changed that is noticeable. Some might carry now that they can without a permit but I doubt you will see anything noticeable.
As others have stated, criminals are already carrying without a permit, this simply recognizes everyone else’s constitutional right to do so.

The only real issue is see is that “normal” people will run in to is private properties banning firearms. You are going to have a bunch of people that think they can just go wherever they want even if the business posts “no firearms allowed.”
I think there may be also be some people carrying in a bars (class A business) or on a parade route that didn’t realize it was illegal.

That's their right.
Concealed also means concealed, get a proper holster and don't try to conceal a hk mk23.
I carried a s&w 442 revolver outside the waist band in the winter for a while. Nobody ever knew.

Probably not much will change.
But, I would suggest enrolling in some defensive training. Learn the laws. And get some insurance. Heaven forbid that you have to protect yourself or your family. But you also have to protect yourself from these prosecutors and liberal judges.

You won’t notice much change at all most likely. But a recent study in Ohio specifically showed almost a 10% reduction in violent crime across a few big cities since they passed it. It doesn’t prove that the constitutional carry law caused it (correlation - causation) but it does disprove that passing the law will increase violent crime. We have 27 other states with constitutional carry that show that as well.

For anyone considering carrying, I strongly suggest you take a course on gun usage
It’s not so much about HOW to use a gun as it is WHEN to use a gun. There are a lot of pitfalls out there for those unaware of the laws.

You have a right to carry and a responsibility to train. I’m glad this is happening. I’m a huge supporter. I just want people who carry to learn to be proficient, with or without a permit.

After that lady opened fire at Joel Osteen's church, I may start carrying on Sundays. I fear some Christian hating nut that drives past Temple Baptist regularly, will start having visions of himself killing enough enough Christians to qualify for an extra half dozen virgins.

New Orleans is one of the most dangerous cities in the western hemisphere
All criminals are already carrying guns. This now gives law abiding citizens the right to bring a gun with them.
Criminals are still going to kill each other but now some good guys are going to win that weren't going to win before.
An armed society is a polite society.
We're going to see quite a few of those airbrushed shirts with kids photos on them soon that dindu nuffin but tried to steal a car. And the message will be sent to that community that law abiding citizens are now armed. They are now dangerous and no long easy targets.
This is our 2nd amendment right being restored and I hope a criminal fricks around and finds out.

Legislators also passed a bill providing a level of immunity from civil liability for someone who holds a concealed carry permit and uses their firearm to shoot a person in self-defense.

I used to carry a concealed pistol before permits started,not all the time but if I was going certain places.
I have a neighbor that has carried for years,never had a permit.
A nurse I used to work with had a .357 magnum in her purse,locked in her locker when she got to work.Her main issue was for when she got home,house was pretty isolated on a main highway and her husband wasn’t always home due to his work schedule.
Criminals have no reservations about carrying concealed weapons,I have no reservations concerning law-abiding citizens carrying.

If I'm not mistaken one of the few places it is illegal to carry in Louisiana is in church (without permission).
