Like with any change, this will have bad outcome or two, but overall will be highly favorable for humanity. There have been plenty of case studies of violent crime trending downwards in Constitutional carry states.

Go talk to your pastor. Volunteer to be an usher and to stand watch. Tell him about your training and preparation for proper use of a firearm. If he is against you willing standing to protect the congregation, then go find another church.
I know there will be denominations against it. Leave those denominations.

Man, I watched some of the bodycam and security footage of the Houston shooting at Osteen's church. Just practice , practice, practice and know your line of fire as best you can. Doubt there were any other options or if they even knew she was dragging the son around, but its gut wrenching to see the young son laying on the ground (assume it was crossfire). I carry everyday but those types of situations just drive home how difficult it is with lots of people and how real the consequences are.

Louisiana used to also have some weird long gun rules back in the 70s and early 80s. I’m a little too young to remember exactly what they were, but it was something like if it was loaded it had to be visible/couldn’t be concealed in your vehicle. Most hunters just had gun racks in their trucks so it didn’t really matter.

Been like that here in Georgia. Not really much of a difference. I have a CCP and still only carry for certain circumstances.

Only those persons that have no legal impediment or prohibition can carry. Armed felons are still in violation of the law. This does not make it legal for them to carry.

If you have a permit it’s going to show up when they run your DL. Most agencies have mobile data terminals now.
Still required to notify but most likely they know before they get to your car. When your plate gets run it automatically runs the registered owners DL as well.

About 4 or 5 years ago, I was going to travel to Arkansas, and called their state police, because websites about gun laws there were too contradictory to understand. When I finally spoke to their "expert" on the subject, he said it was really up to the local judges how they interpreted the laws, but that I should do the above, or leave my weapon at home.

Carrying concealed in churches is illegal in Louisiana. But if you keep it concealed and only pulling it out in the case of stopping an armed threat in church I don't see a problem. Atleast that's what I have been doing for the past 20 years with my CCW.
