70 lbs amberjack was my biggest, second was a 52 lbs drum.
my biggest regret was not getting pictures with the amberjack. i got so mad being told it was trash fish not worth eating i just threw it in the canal at the boat launch in empire. also because half of it was left hanging out of the 70 qt ice chest.
later on i was more upset when im told they are "ok" to eat, just not all that great tasting. so i could have taken it home and eaten it after all

180# Tarpon. Just south of Sanibel,FL. Sad day. Watched 2 bull sharks destroy it after we measured it and let it swim.

Caught a redfish at the South Pass jetties, 45 inches long 25" girth no clue how much it weighted.
Biggest speck 7.2 lbs off Main Pass
Bass 5.5lbs
Bluegill 1.4 lbs
Caught a few big sharks and hooked a dolphin reeling in a speckled trout. he spit the fish off after a good pull.

If you count running lines with my Grandpa as a kid it would be a 65 lbs blue cat.
If we are talking all my doing it'd be this 37 lbs blue cat. The smaller one went 26 lbs. No extension in the hoist.
FWIW, that was taken at an old fishing camp. That's not where I live.

Caught an 8ft hammerhead off the beach close to St Andrews state park in PCB. Idk how much it weighed but it was a big un. I've been fishing offshore all my life but that's the biggest fish I've ever caught. Drunk and sitting on the beach
