I'm pretty sure this wader myth has been busted many times, hasn't it?

Yes. Filling waders with water will not drag you to the bottom. It does make swimming much more difficult though.

I vote tie it up to the outside of the boat house.

Tie it up to the tree and she will be needing someone to go back out there and move it again when the water starts falling...then her party barge will be sitting in the grass next week.

Just don't forget to move it back before it becomes a fixture in the back yard.

If it's got a Mercury on the back of it I'd check and see if the boat and the shed are covered for fire. Things burn all the time.

This! Don't even try to tell him to swallow his pride. It'll take all of 20 minutes to move once someone gets there and will potentially save your family thousands of dollars.

Make sure you have redfield sign a waiver of some sort to further protect yourself.

Hence the wait for the water to fall. If you tie it up to the boat house you'd need a lot of rope to get it away from the boat house and an anchor because that thing is at the mercy of the wind. Didn't think about mama having to move it back though...as long as she got it back over the lake before the water fell too far someone could always move it back into the slip for her

And 20 minutes is from the moment the vehicle goes in park to the moment he is completely dried off and driving away.

I'm only an hour away and wish I could help, but my only road out is washed out. I'm stuck drinking bloody marys

She's about to ride up to Brown's landing and see if anyone will help.

Dad told her she didn't even need to tie the boat off and thankfully she did that. He just has his pride and isn't home to deal with the situation himself so he's being stubborn.

Good on you for helping man.

I would just move it from under the roof and tie it to the boat shed. No need to pull it up on land.

Not trying to downplay it, but you should be perfectly fine. A little cold is probably the worst case scenario.

I would back it out. Drop an anchor or concrete block of the front and back. Tie rope to boat shed.

Pox is board-renowned for her cheesecakes. Keep that in mind. I wouldn't just do this for nothing, son.
