Neoprene ones do float IIRC. Rubber ones don't or fill up with air and flip you upside down. Been down that road before. If you're not a strong swimmer or you don't react fast, I can see it becoming a problem quickly because they are not coming off with water in them if they fit correctly

Just tell her you've got a ol baw from the OB to fix her up. I'm sure that will ease her mind. There are good people over here. I wouldn't risk sending an OTer there though. Imagine Terd hanging out with your mom.
