so you are saying you cant save a shite ton of money buying a 4-5 year old used truck vs the cost of buying brand new
whatever floats your boat, go ahead and spend that $70k on a new one

We are saying there are no good deals on 4-5 year old trucks right now. It’s hard to believe the market is like it is, but it is

Gonna buy an Acura this year and a F 150 next year. I suspect it will be MSRP all the way.

i never said there were, all i said was you can save huge buying used vs neww even with the insane way prices are now
i agree used trucks are bringing as much as they cost new, but new trucks are astronomical prices making used still the better buy rather then finance a $70k truck for 12 years to buy it

This isn’t what you said, and it’s still wrong. 4-5 year old trucks with 200K miles on them are still selling for high as shite. Wrecked trucks with salvage titles are high as shite. No one is arguing, you’re just wrong.

You, rather emphatically, said you could buy a 2018 for $50k less than a new one. Give us some links.

yes i did and nothing there said used trucks arent insanely over priced

there are lots of trucks that DONT cost $70k

quote:i said buy a used truck and save $50k rather then buy new for $70k, are used trucks selling for $70k because if they arent then im right
This isn’t what you said

No one is arguing,
yet you want to argue something i never said (that used trucks arent way overpriced and expensive, i NEVER said that) all just so you dont have to admit im right
when a new truck costs you $70k then a used truck for $30k is less then half price and a much better deal, you just refuse to admit that
if im wrong about anything its that you may only save $40k buying used vs new rather then the $50k i originally said

What you said was that we could save $50k by purchasing a 3 yo truck. And that's factually incorrect. Trucks that are 3-4 years old are selling for $10-20k less than brand new trucks.
The used truck value quotient (discount from new) is at an all time low.

Here’s a hole for your argument.
The new truck that cost $70k are loaded to the gills.
Every truck you have listed on your links are the lowest grade non-hd you can buy.
Here is a new one in inventory for $34k
Landers Ford
I just saved someone $36k.

You are attempting to move the goal post to make your original post correct. Yes you can buy a three year old truck for under $20k, but these trucks were never $70k and yes you can buy a brand new truck for $40k.
Your argument is flawed on a bunch of levels.

You made a claim that you cannot support with a simple link. I’m not going searching for something that doesn’t exist, in an attempt to help salvage YOUR credibility.

Well after more than a few phone calls it looks like I'm getting what I want for about as good as can be had these days.
Trading a '17 LTZ with 89K and getting 6K less than what I payed for it new.
That and 7K off the High Country and I'll take that and roll with it.
Thank God for the supplier pricing incentive.
This SOB better last until they put my old azz in the ground because I'll be damned if I ever want to go through this chit again.
(Edit, what made this such a bitch is trying to find a High Country that isn't loaded to the gills. Not to mention finding one without that adaptive ride control which seems to be an issue on any trucks that get leveled/lifted.
That and I'm anal about wanting the pearl white instead of another color. Oh well...frick it...you only go around once, right?

Does anyone know of a site or app that allows you to search for new vehicles across all dealerships?
I need to be able to search for a specific vehicle.
New f150 crewcab v8 4x4 with 6.5ft bed.

CarGurus and autotrader.
Bought off both easily.
Work truck packages are a great value

I can’t help, but you may be at the mercy of the dealerships actually being able to enter those specs into the app correctly. I’d be surprised if more than 20% of salesmen would even notice the 6.5’ bed. No offense to the salesmen out there.

I just got $49K for my 2019 Ram that I paid $47K for 3 years and 45,000 miles ago. The market is nuts. Luckily I get Toyota H-Plan pricing and got some money knocked off MSRP on a new Tundra. Way too good of a deal to pass up financially.
