My original post was sarcasm. Your story is the only one I’ve seen where someone may actually be getting a better deal now.

I went to 3 dealers, my normal dealer on Toyota didn't have what I wanted, nor was it allocated.
First dealer offered me $21.5K, second offered $22K, and third was at $25K. Then we started negotiation the purchase price, and I got him up another $500 on the trade.

Since i ordered and couldn't buy off the lot the incentives changes on May 4th from $1750 to $1000. So we negotiated another $500 on the trade, take it to $26K, and I ate the other $250. After what I was offered in January, I was pretty happy to get some discount, and a really good trade in.

We are actually going to look at a car this afternoon, might do another trade if I can get another good deal.

Anyone want my truck? I will sell it for the right amount.

It's not imaginary. I just paid sticker for an F250 XLT with the gas 7.3. There is not much opportunity for negotiation these days. It's a sellers market. Get the best thing you can. They might never be cheaper again...

You can buy a new 1 ton diesel today for that much. That's ridiculous.

That’s a 2 door, mid-size, stick shift, with 66,000 miles on it, and probably has manual roll up windows

I didn’t even know you could buy a stick shift anymore

That truck may have cost 20k brand new. That’s case and point right there that the used vehicle market is ridiculous

The window sticker is in one of the pictures. Msrp is $25k. Kind of crazy that thing is $18k with 66k miles.

The MSRP was only $25k. A single cab, 2wd, manual transmission.

And why the hell is the sticker still in the dash?

What else you got?

I kbb'd my truck for shits and giggles.

The trade in right now value wise is 500 more than I paid for it.

Private party is 3500 more.

Crazy.

Mine is $11,000 more now than when I bought it in March 2020. Paid $27,000 with 25,000 miles. Now it averages $38,000 and it has 50,000 miles.

All of you should sell now if you have a backup beater to drive. When the chip shortage catches, the market will be flooded with new trucks and this bubble will crash.

Press that "get cash offer now" button if you really want to fall out of your chair.

just buy a 2018 truck and save yourself $50k doing it

Then proceeds to post a midsize, manual, single cab for 7k less than MSRP.
Yet, I’m the idiot.

I’m guessing you’re confused for Einstein regularly.

I don't need my truck that much right now, which is why I offered it for sale a few posts up.
