I've read that he was using a Glock 9mm

Don't know which one. Also have seen that the police said all his shots were between 40-50 yards.

There’s 3 in the middle of the court.

If he advanced towards the threat as is likely, he might well have used one for concealment/cover and as a rest as he fired.

That also cuts down the distance.

Correct, but those are all like 10-15 yards not 40.

Its also possible he made 1-2 shots from 40 yards that knocked the guy down and then he approached him at which time he shot until he stopped moving. Who knows. All speculation. Not trying to take anything at all away from him.

He was amazing and I would hope my actions in that scenario would be the same.

Every Firearm organization should be calling him w a job offer.

With someone shooting back at someone who's never been shot at before, it's damn impressive.

Older guy i use to shoot with- he always was hitting the clay pigeons in the mud at the 100 berm, with his Ruger Security 6 , 4" barrel.

The adrenline hype of this incident is a big factor though.

I never really had a "bucket list" but I might have to start one now.

1. Buy that guy a beer!

My last 7 deer I have taken have been with a handgun. 6 with a .41 mag - max range 30yards. 1 with a .357 at 10 yards.

I'm pretty good but at 40 yards even with my 41 8 out of 10 not likely. with either of my conceal carry pieces - I'm about 50/50 at 25 to 35 yards on hogs I encounter on bird hunts. adrenaline is also a MFER.... i would say god and luck was on his side.

Is it even possible? I mean I guess anything is possible, but shite man this is something that if I saw in a movie I would laugh my arse off at. Almost half a football field and he just drills a guy with a Glock repeatedly

anything is possible but 8/10 at 40 yards.... there are guys in devgru and delta that can't do that.

I couldn't hit 8-10 from point blank. I shot at snake swimming across a lake the other day and missed the whole lake.

I read somewhere it was 8 “bullet holes”, so maybe 4 hits if there were counting entrance/exit?

Personally I think he wounded him, ran up and finished the job with several extra security rounds. No way am I buying 8 hits at 40 yards from a civilian with all the adrenaline pumping, but guess we’ll see when the full story comes out

I seriously doubt that, seeing as there’s an extremely competitive selection process for both.

if it was a ruger 57 i'd beleive it. When the cops engage in a firefight with 9mm at 20 yds they are usually 2 for 100

Not to take away from the feat, but he was braced against a wall or pillar. Makes a difference.

In any case, it's better than I could have done.

LE are notoriously poor shots on average, especially police in large urban areas who didn't grow up with guns. I know you were exaggerating, but from memory I think their hit ratio is really bad; maybe 15%-20%? It's been a long time since I saw the study that had the real numbers.

One of the better shots I've ever seen by a cop on video was unfortunately a dirty cop who chased a DUI suspect. Car (truck maybe?) flipped on its side and as soon as the guy stuck his head out of the side window, which was facing up, the cop speed-drilled him right in the neck.

I call him dirty because the guy was no threat and the first thing he did was start looking for his brass.

40 yards they ain't using a handgun, and very likely neither would their opponent
