Calm down damn, congrats on the deer. If the arrow broke off, especially if it hit the other shoulder blade you wouldn't get a large blood trail at first. If it was tucked tight behind the shoulder they have two decent muscles that bleed very little. Going 100 yards might only be a few drops. I shoot Rage hypo and haven't had an issue yet that wasn't user error.

The guy was offering you some advice and trying to help. Calm down. If you were in your local archery shop having this talk with some other hunters would you flip out and start cursing at people that we're offering you some advice?

Tree stand or blow blind? Lots of deer shot in blind are shot high in lung. In a tree stand, deer that are really close and stand is pretty high ( greater than 20') one might one lung the deer. I've done this a few times where I hit the near lung and arrow goes over far lung. Deer will bleed inside cavity until blood fills cavity and drops out of exit hole which is high and damn deer has covered some country by then. Shoot low if you're high and deer is pretty close.

Deer with no exit wound are not likely... only rarely will leave a good blood trail.

The only issue with this kill was penetration. Why didn't you get a pass thru? You need to find the answer to that question and then you will know if it is something that can be fixed or just luck and the roll of the dice.

if I asked a guy at my local archery shop why I didn't find blood on a shot right behind the shoulder at 35 yards from a tree stand with a rage hypo broadhead and he started rambling about how to find a deer you've shot with a gps I damn sure might, and I probably would as well if they all started telling me it's about shot placement when the first thing out of my mouth was it was a good shot and the deer didn't run but about 70 yards

Oh and to the guy who called me an ungrateful a-hole,I may be one but so is half of the people on this board when most of the comments in this thread has nothing to do with what I asked just people telling me it's about shot placement when again I made a good shot I found the deer, I've killed plenty if deer in the past this was just my first time using rage it's and that was the only thing I had a question about I didn't need all these guys questioning where I hit the deer whenever I've found it already and know I made a good shot

I'll stir this pot.

There's nothing wrong with Rage broadheads. If you hit the deer where you said, and the arrow didn't exit, you have a tuning problem with your bow. The shittiest broadhead will exit at 35 yds and your shot placement. No exit = poor bloodtrail every time. Not sure why this is hard to understand.

Know I get it. I'm just supposed to be nice and say thank you to everyone because you all are so smart right? Whenever there was only a total of about 3 or 4 posts in the entire thread that I could take any knowledge from.

To be honest, you come across as a complete beginner. It's not surprising that you were given some pretty basic advice.

No, it's called being curteous. This isn't SEC rant where it's cool to just act like a complete jerk to people trying to offer helpful advice. There really are very sound explanations for what happened to you and it generated some discussion - on a discussion board. Imagine that!?
