How do these feeders hold up to bears?
This is exactly the info I was looking for. Thank you.
Wasn’t sure if the ant killer would harm the plants. I was also trying not to use pesticides in such a confined area on plants my youngsters eat. I’m probably overthinking it though. Thank you for the acephate recommendation.

Ants in Potted Blackberries.

I have a couple of those whisky barrels cut in half to use as planters in my yard. Planted some Prime Ark Freedom blackberries that are growing up onto an aluminum fence as planned. Problem is fire ants have made their home in the planters over the last year or so. Is there any way to get rid of them without using ant killer or removing the soil and starting over?

How much did the survey cost?

I'm having the same issue and don't know if there is a great solution.
+1 on the browning turkey chair. Buy it and don’t look back. It’s perfect for the 2012 Outback.

re: Best fishing rod prices...

I did the exact same thing a few years back. I made a terrible decision and my backflip cost me four rods in a spit second. I’m still sick over it. Now I only buy my rods from Academy.

To your question, I prefer my Falcon and St. Croix rods. Sorry for your loss.
D&B, please keep us updated on the status of your repair. I'm having the same issue with my truck. It has been in the shop twice over the past month, but my mechanic can't seem to fix the issue. TIA.
Thanks for posting. I've been wanting one of the backpacks for a while now.

Not to hijack this thread, but I'm building my own 308 that I want to shoot at long distances. I just purchased a Juggernaut Tactical 308 lower, and am weighing my options on a complete upper.

Do either of you fiery individuals have suggestions on a complete upper in the $1k range? TIA

Kennanbra, do you recall the cost of said installation?

Thanks for the responses, fellas. I'd do it myself, but I'd like it done right the first time. Hah

ATV help.

OB gurus, I'm trying to find a reputable place around the Baton Rouge area to take my ATV. It's an old Honda TRX300 thatis in pristine condition. I'd like to have a winch, a front rack, and a LED spotlight installed before deer season. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.TIA

Thanks for the report, FTF. Weather looks manageable this weekend.
I got the mystery tackle box as a Christmas gift. Wasn't impressed. Now I've got a ton of lures that I don't use. I'd suggest spending the money on specific baits that you want.

I almost bought a 92, but ended up with a CZ 75 SP-01. It's a little on the heavy side, but I love mine.
+1

I had some from there last week. They were supprisingly big and had the perfect amount of seasoning. This may be my geaux to crawfish spot this year.
I hear that Millie Brown does good work at a reasonable price.

re: Let's talk poaching

Man, I hate a poacher. Last weekend I found a trail cut on my property that I didn't make. Followed it to the property line where there is a deep ditch separating the two properties and this scumbag has built a footbridge over it. He is hunting my honey hole that's got 6 giant cow oaks dropping massive acorns. I am one of those weekend warriors, so he's got all week to hunt my stands. Chaps my arse, but there's not much I can do besides hunt my own species.
Thanks for the great responses guys.

I guess I'll have to rephrase "hog defense" to "hog offense."

I came face to face with a 300 lb boar last bow-season while I was tracking a deer. After standing 10 yards away from an animal of that stature without a weapon, I vowed never to let it happen again.
Hunt in Louisiana mostly, and Mississippi occasionally.
Just gave my shotgun to my parents because they have had quite a few break-ins in their area lately.
