re: Turkeys in October

I saw a Jake last week in Eastern Panola, Co. I have not seen a turkey in 12 or 13 years in Panola Co until last week. There used to be huntable numbers in that area. Big timber companies quit burning and too much undergrowth under pine tree canopy. Too easy for nest raiders to get eggs and small poults.

I believe you need to only feed them cotton seed while they are in velvet. Makes them temporarily sterile.
It still does it when I pull a goose neck with tractor.
You’ve piqued my interest. I have a 2022 SRW F-350 and it’s the roughest thing around. I’ve added dual steering stabilizer and bags on the rear with no help. The truck wants to skip around as it hits bumps in the road. Hwy 17 north of Delhi is terrible until you get to W Carroll parish. Which level of Carli did you go with? Did you have same issues I am experiencing?
I have 4 or 5 wise eye. It’s 99 bucks a month. I find that kind of spendy. I’d hate to see your monthly tab. I know you are peddling them pretty hard and more than likely an investor/owner and the reason I’m trying them out.
I completed several wells on the Moran ranch quite a few years ago. I'm pretty sure EXCO bought the property from them as they completely developed that unit.
Mostly a lurker here, but I had to log on this topic. I deal with a few trucks delivering loads from Bryan, Crowley, and Houston. I’m also traveling NE Tx and NWLa seeing way too many immigrants driving big trucks. They can’t even understand, speak, or comprehend English. How in the F did the get a CDL? Too many Guatemalans, Hondurans, and Middle East folks driving these trucks. I predict a large problem with this in the near future. Company called “IRON CAMEL” hauling Frac sand. WTFF!!!
Sorry for the rant
White House Cafe is would be my go to place. Have been eating there since I was a very young.
I graduated from Fairview (Camden-Fairview) in 92'. Where exactly are working?
I’ve been wearing these all season. My favorite of all my rubber boots which are all lacrosse.

Who will mount it? I had one done by Sportsman's Memory Shop and Studio in Grapeland, Tx. They did a very good job. Several guys in there that can put their hands and eyes on it vs one taxidermist.

I saw a huge boar bear on the side of 581 a few weeks ago eating pecans - I guess that’s what he was doing. That still might have been E. Carroll parish though.

While at work yesterday morning I had seen 6 bucks chasing (East Texas). I walked down a lease road and heard chasing and grunting about 11:00 in the morning. I had opportunity to get in stand at the lease that afternoon. First doe came out with young 8 pnt followed by 4 more does. Then a nine point. Shot him with 300 prc at 200 yards. Loaded up and back up just at dark. They are on the move in NE Texas and NW Louisiana. Lots of dead ones on the roads.

Wife has had many through the years, but my favorite is still my excursion with the Triton V-10. It’s a hunting buggy.
Pretty sure she was at RNC in the background at the end of Jesse Waters’ show last night. One of you youngsters might be a little more savvy to research that.
If I'm in FW it's Lonesome Dove. More than once while in town if possible. It's a little pricy, but its very, very good.
