Do any of you have issues opening cooler. I don’t think I can open mine with a pry bar. The only way to get in it is to open drain plug and allow air in so that suction can be broke.

Did you throw your Yeti into Antarctica for 4 years (Yeti recommended), retrieve it there and try with the new Yeti crowbar cooler opening tool? If so, you are doing it right. Put it in your house and shoot your AC unit for your house

it’s a feature not a bug

You can buy vacuum relief kits for under $10. Have to drill a hole in the cooler but simple to do.
$7 part from this place.

My coolers will do that from time to time. Just gotta put your paws on it, I think it's good to have a suction. It means it ain't letting no cold stuff out.
Gonna brag on the K2s here. My cousin wrecked Saturday morning and his got slung out the truck and apparently ran over by the wave runner that flew into the back of the truck, then ended up under the trailer. Ol baw still got his ultras on the same ice today. Just a couple scratches on the cooler itself.

My RTIC is a bitch to open unless I crack the plug a little bit. Can't leave it cracked or the all the melt will drip out.

A simple tip I learned.....
Take a piece of string and tie it to the hole in the top corner where you would lock it. If going in and out of it all day lay the string across the edge won’t vacuum seal. If traveling pull string out and let flop around and you will keep the stuff vacuum locked and cold.

Put a small piece of 3m grip tap at the back of the cooler where the seal meets. Gives it just enough of a gap to allow it to release, but doesn't allow cold air to escape.

Put a piece of string under the lid when you're using it, opens easy.

Maluna coolers all day long better quality and can destroy rest of competition in keeping ice longer.

Get a roll of 1/4" weather stripping and cut a small 1/2" piece. Clean an area on the seal and stick it on there. Still keeps a good seal but does away with the vacuum issue. Just did this on all of my coolers with NoColors
