48, lawyer, born in Missouri, live in Louisiana. I fish and boat and camp but don't hunt much, meaning haven't hunted in more than ten years. First learned to handle a rifle and shotgun at about 12. First handgun at 17 and almost broke my damn wrist. Shot thousands of birds off the wires around our first house in Louisiana with a pellet gun as a teenager. We grew up taking real firearms absolutely seriously. There was no playing around or posing for pictures looking like banditos. My father would have punched me out if I did what young people do with their guns these days.

And get off my lawn.

30, born in BR, live in BR
started hunting at 7 (first squirrel) & fishing when i was very young, taught by my older brothers and dad.
bowhunted almost exclusively through much of college, but could never bring one home. hunting tailed off pretty severely towards the end of & after college. about 5 yrs ago finally got my first bow kill & started hunting more. got another bow kill that yr and one more two yrs later.

in the last two years i have vastly increased the amount of time i spend hunting/fishing. i don't know what the shite i was doing before, but i spend almost every weekend in the boat bass fishing and duck hunting now. it is a bitch to learn to duck hunt on your own but god damn if i don't love it. i pretty much give up every other sport during duck season. and i think i like scouting as much as i like the actual hunting. this season i took up camping as well to avoid having to run the boat in the fog.

I would like to think by now they have learned a thing or two from me.

i learn a lot from you bass fishing for sure. it's good to have someone to bounce any/all hunting/fishing ideas off of.

Born in Covington
Live in Mandeville but will be Abita Springs within a year

Started fishing when I was about 6. Hunted sporadically starting at around 8. My grandfathers passed away when I was 2 & 3 and my dad wasn't a big hunter or fisherman. My brother got me into both. I had to depend on him to take me hunting but he wouldn't take me very often.

I lost touch with both hunting and fishing when I went to LSU. Started back up fishing a few years ago and duck hunting year before last on public land. Where I'm moving, I'm able to hunt it for free with a bow. I'm fine with hunting duck on public and deer in Abita. It's more about the experience for me, while I like to kill and would rather, there's few things better than just BEING outside.

Marrero until 89
Then moved to Dothan
College at JSU in north Alabama and then in Mobile
Now back around Dothan.
Everyone lives within 15 mile of each other on the Wank except for my dad and mom.

Could navigate Lafitte canals on a boat better than the neighborhood on a tricycle.
Started hunting right when we moved to Alabama.

he recently gave me his sniper rifle from his time in the marines and my son wants to shot it.

i have been fishing for as long as i can remember, about 15 years ago i got my dive certification, so now all we pretty much do is spear fishing

Born and raised around Shreveport.

Started hunting with my dad around 6, but he passed away on Fathers Day when i was 10. My greatest memory of him is sitting on Toledo absolutely killing the crappie with an Original Rapala floating Minnow, with CCR playing in the background.

I'm very lucky to have a Stepdad that picked up right where my real dad left off. Been deer hunting and bass fishing with him every since, and can't imagine my life being any different.

To first Dad's and second Dad's...

Lew-si-anne(Laffy/Harahan/Dirty Dell/Covington/Madisonville/Mandeville; live in Metry now)
Needed a new place to fap

Was 10 at the time. Shot a doe with a 300Win Mag(ouch), almost lost my shoulder, and had a bullet fly by my dad and I on the way back to the truck. Now, I just like being out in the woods doing anything. Duck hunting is just meh for me

Born in Napoleonville, LA, Live in BR, moving to St.Francisville
Killed my first deer when I was 7. Uncle owned Miller Plantation in Waterproof, LA. So I grew up hunting I the Glade Woods.
Been fishing as long as I can remember. Bayou Lafourche is my back yard and Lake Verret is right through the cane field from my folks house.

Dad and uncles taught me everything I know about the outdoors. A lot I learned from self experience. My brother learned from me. We are both solid hunters and fishers to say the least.
