Grew up in Pierre Part,LA
Moved all over LA, then ended up in NE Houston area

I grew up crawfish the spillway with my dad until I had to start school, then I did it on weekends and all summer long. Started hunting around age 8 missed an uncountable # of deer until I killed my first at age 18. I haven't missed one since, I had a serious case of buck fever!!

29. Born, raised, and still reside in Ponchatoula.

Dad nor powpow hunted, just kinda got into it on my own hunting in Joyce WMA off of the Tangipahoa River behind our camp.

Still make an occasional hunt in Joyce, but mostly hunt just northeast of Woodville, Ms.

If you're from Benton, then I'm sure we do. It doesn't quite have the small town feel that it used to.

45 , currently living in Youngsville/Lafayette

grew up in Metairie (David Dr. area) as my Dad was the outdoorsman who taught me about hunting/fishing. He raised Weims that were both AKC show dogs and retrievers. Later he raised beagles strictly for hunting rabbits.

caught my first redfish off the Lake Pontchartrain seawall when I was 4. I begged to get it mounted as the dam fish stayed wrapped in aluminum foil in our freezer for years. Never got it mounted as it was probably a rat red, I thought for sure it was Moby Dick.

At age 6, I recv'd a single shot .410 for Christmas. Dad always duck hunted as I wanted to be like him. One weekend he took me and my brother to the Bonnet Carre Spillway to shoot skeet with my new toy. As Dad was unloading the box of clays, I see this giant white, slow flying pterodactyl bird cruising over the levee and I blasted his arse. . I remember Dad saying "WTF" as I claimed my first bird kill... a cattle egret (ooops). Needless to say I got a stern lecture on what is legal, and not legal to shoot.

My first deer hunting experience was with friends when I was 12-13. We were invited to Van Cleave, MS to deer hunt with dogs and shotguns. Also learned real quick if the dogs don't run deer, they were taken behind the camp and disposed of.

Killed my first deer at 14 with a 30-30 in Camden,AL . I was on cloud 9 and enjoyed every minute of it. Started bowhunting at 16 in Pearl River and got lost a few times.

In my teens, caught lots of sharks and monster gar behind Jefferson Downs in Kenner. Would sit on the backstretch fence watching the race horses and fish the whole night listening to OZZY and drinking whatever we could afford, usually 40 oz. King Cobras

Moved to Lafayette in '88 and have been here ever since. Still enjoy the outdoors ; however it's no longer about the kill. Just spending quality time in the woods with my son and daughter who are young teenagers.

I have several custom rifles and enjoy shooting crows, coyotes, and paper. I also enjoy eating and started a small side business selling Cajun Seasoning (shameless plug Ragin Blaze )

glad to be a part of the OB and had the privilege of meeting KR and Rize

my real job requires me to travel the entire State weekly as I've been everywhere from Transylvania to Vivian to Johnsons Bayou to Bayou Pigeon and all parts in between

.

Born Boloxi, raised in N.W. La.

Dad didn't hunt, but loved to fish. Grandma and Grandpa on my Mom's side owned a ranch and loved to hunt and fish, plus they had three large ponds. Have an uncle who was a professional fisherman, and Mom's sister married one of Phil Robertsons cousins. Also have a cousin who was a NASCAR driver back in the 90's.

Moved to AK when I was in my early 30's because I felt I was gonna die if I didn't and it's been the best thing, ever..for me. I hunt to fill a freezer, fish for food and fun, and am heavily into hiking, skiing, photography, kayaking, etc.

I get back to N.W. La once every few years. Still have a brother and daughter in the area. Folks live in Arkansas now.

Nah, most seem fairly mature for their age which is why the OB is the best board on TD, by a large margin.

32-45 are the prime years for a man, most still have that ahead of them. Hopefully they take advantage and enjoy.

Where?

I've already said too much

If you know me, you know where it was killed (I am not at liberty to dicuss further details), you know it was the biggest deer pulled off that place to date, and likely one of the biggest out of St.Tammany in a long time.

Tyler was my next door neighbor if its the same one we are thinking about? He worked for FBI or some shite? Drove me to school until I got my license and was on the golf team with me.

Beau D, there is only one Beau D I know. He's from down the canal, hung out with Tyler sometimes too. Has a huge beard right now? I haven't seen Beau in a couple of years now, so I don't know his occupation?

Hell, I had some of my wildest years in my late 30's and early-mid 40's. Paying for it now though.
