I'm sure it's tagged incorrectly but there's no one around to ask. And I really don't gaf to tell them anyway.

I mean their clearance racks are academy's normal prices

I don't see Dick's sporting Goods lasting much longer as well.

I've only been to the Gander Mt in Hattiesburg a few times, but I absolutely hate that place. The way the store is setup itself is nauseating enough

There's a huge Dicks/Field & Stream store here in Lafayette, I don't see them being a permanent fixture. They have a pretty good selection but I find everything to be higher priced.

Yea it's a nice combo they have but I avoid that area with all the traffic that the new development has brought. As far as Gander Mtn, the only one I've been to was in Nashville and the prices are ungodly high.

Todays society seems to be driven more towards buy cheaper and replace instead of fixing. I think you'll see more of these higher price stores going away...

Unless they have a great sale and then the OB keeps them afloat

It's really not even this, it's not like the $8 Skitterwalk I buy at Academy is different from the $10 Skitterwalk from Field and Stream. It's that Dicks/F&S/GM offers the exact same products as the rest of the market for 10-20% higher, they've failed to adjust and will suffer.

When I am in southern Oklahoma/north Texas, I am shocked at how many people there go to Gander Mountain in Sherman, TX. It's overpriced crap.

They have a terrible business model. They built one in College Station 200 yards from an existing Academy where every item is cheaper.

Not the brightest company

Went to the Gander in Texarkana this weekend hoping to find some deals. Was very disappointed. Those price tags look to be fairly accurate. They had multiple LC9s out. Each with a price tag of $449

I will swing in a Walmart or Academy just to hit up the baits on clearance. Crazy how cheap you can get some
