I thought for sure they'd be closing the Gander Mountain in my town, but it's apparently one of the few staying open. I don't know how. We have an Academy (soon to be two), a Cabela's, a couple of Dick's, and a couple of good local gun stores.

Gander Mountain is cheaper than BPS; at leàst in South Florida. No Academys down here, though.

I have shopped Gander many times and their hunting stuff is way overpriced. However, they run a lot of deals and sales on their fishing stuff and usually have a pretty good selection.

The only thing I buy at Dick's are CO2 refills and whenever they have a big sale on running shoes. But you can't beat the prices on CO2 and getting the 5th refill for free.

Their regular prices are totally nuts. I only shop there to take advantage of their price matching plus 10% deals.
Got a sweet price on my S&W M&P Shield and just last week on a pretty good spinning reel that academy had just put on sale.
