Before Rita, we used to deer hunt the marsh in the afternoon. Amazing amount of deer down there. Now, havent seen one since.
To me, it looks like that pond could be opened up pretty decent to allow open water. I think spraying will help but you will have to get a marsh machine in there to drag alot of vegetation out and open it up. You could get one for a week and allow him to drag all that grass out, open it up and possibly build you a levee.

What’s crazy is that before 9/11, we used to cut through all the time. Just had to holler at guy on radio that cutting through with bearing and he would tell you have a good day. After 9/11, you were getting chased. And if you ever been chased, you realize how quick that big boat can move.

ST 130s reef

Also you’ll be around other rigs to give other opportunities. If you’re new to offshore and want to go to South Timbaliar, I would suggest launching in Fourchon. If not, chances are you will shite your pants by accidentally cutting through LOOP.

Would vote yes for something not as extreme

The science points to exactly what it needs to be. Legislators don’t have a f’ing clue of what’s extreme and what’s not. That’s typical political talk. “I would have voted yes if not for so extreme. Just keep voting for me”

Watching it live on house to see what they say
The YouTube channel I’m watching was showing a camera on the barge so I’d think so

Someone just needs to sing to him

re: Sherburne South Farm Question

Posted by headedwest21 on 10/18/25 at 10:24 am to
Used to bow hunt out there a bunch also. I talked to agent once I read changes few months ago. He told me that it was never allowed but the wording was confusing. It used to say hunting by lottery only from Friday before youth season…. Apparently that meant that was the only hunting that could happen on south farm. I always took it as you just can’t hunt starting from that day every year. This cleared it up. I believe they knew what was going on as I’ve talked to agents out there. but in recent years, a lot more people started hunting out there and were going wherever on four wheelers. Once problems start, they are going to do something.

Been checking out the Eagle 9 since it has live sonar. Not bad starting unit for $1000 from what I can tell
Man those Saturday mornings on ESPN watching Walker’s Cay Chronicles were some good times
Does any local stores in Lafayette have them? I’m a sucker for trying new stuff

Any ideas on what the difference between on ears and in water could be?

Exhaust back pressure. When on ears, exhaust is free flowing so engine has no resistance. What are your rpms on ears? Did you do basic compression check?

First time I got tags, I called around just to see price of cleaning. I also asked just for wondering price of them. no one wanted the gators. The market already tough so they only would buy commercially.

Are you mainly bow hunting or gun hunting? I usually hit the WMAs in October when a lot of people don’t. I find most bow hunters that I meet on them have same mind frame and etiquette. Other than a lottery hunt, I wouldn’t touch public land during gun season.

While I don’t support it for the lack of entertainment purposes, I don’t consider it cheating.

This is a play by play of fishing bed fish so I think that kills that argument. I also hate the floggers as they are the same thing if not easier than livescope. They are actually putting eyes on the fish eating the bait. Might as well just use a camera.

Cheating

I’ve yet to see one deer killed by a trail cam pulling the trigger. It’s just another tool to help a hunter understand deer behavior. I know people that only hunt off of trail camera pictures and don’t see shite.

Fishing down in Vermilion bay in the fall at least once a week this fall and I put 10 hours on mine. As said, some fishing doesn’t take much.
