How about some of you fellas that have worn both tell me if I should get some Mucks. I've had the Lacrosse boots for 13 years. They've never been very comfortable and the grips have often felt sketchy

TIA

Muck are more comfortable to me but make your feet sweat like a mofo.

Muck boots don't hold up to horse piss as well as Lacrosse.

That's all I got.

This x1000

The tops of the mucks hold in all that heat and you will be walking with wet towels for socks

Redhead boots is your answer. Cheaper and better than both.

i actually had the same question a few months ago. i went to bass pro and tried them on and felt like the irish setters had a better fit around my ankles so i went with them. i too have always had lacrosse boots but to me the irish setter boots just felt awesome and for the same price.

That is why you fold them tops down while walking, Baw! Let them puppies breath!

I haven't tried this but it's exactly what I need to do. I've noticed after hunting and walking all weekend that my knees will be hurting on Monday. I chalked it up to my boots as my Mucks are so tall forcing my ankle/lower leg to act as one walking through the woods. Then I snag on vines and put stress at the knee. Will have to try folding them down.

Lacrosse, went back to original Burlys, they seem to hold up the longest. I have had the sole separate from the boot on a couple pairs of Alpha Burlys. You don't have as much insulation, but I haven't found boots yet that keep me warm.

I've always been a lacrosse man but I have been intrigued by the XTratuff brand. It's what you see the guys on Deadliest Catch wearing. It's apperantly THE boot to wear if you are in Alaska.

Had Lacrosse forever then went to Muck. Haven't looked back. Just the ease of getting them on and off was worth the change!!

Muck boots for me. I flip mine down when walking in and out of the stand. The inside lining is bright orange so you add a little extra safety while giving your calves a chance to breathe
