Really? This is not at all surprising to anyone who paid any attention at all to who he is.

Maybe we will get a different La WF out of it. That can't be bad.

I like this as well. All though I am concerned an outsider will be chewed up by the crab, oyster, pogie boats, guides and other industry in the state. But maybe she will not be in bed with lobbyists from those industries...

There's like 45 other states not tied to the gulf. Certainly, there was another person more qualified to take over this department?

All of his cabinet appointees appear to have been made by Trump. Similar appointments as agency heads elsewhere, and many senior civil servants opting to retire.

I voted for Landry, but the jury is still out on how he will do. This article and the others in the Advocate are biased against him. If the Advocate hates him, I'm pretty sure I am going to like him.

You enjoy the current version of WLF? The constant overreach just because they can? The supporting of commercial enterprise over personal outdoorsmen? The absurd rule making and enforcement of regulations that are not grounded in any good reasoning? The false idea pervasive throughout the bureaucracy that they are actually helping conservation?

Or do you think it can get much worse?

I would say good for shrinking the size of gov, then am reminded they’ll ride a state pension until death.
