Then we can close gun season during the rut. Everyone wins.

That's the best time for young and dumb buck blasting.

The best thing about this wretched state is the long gun season.

I spoke with her today after the press conference. Very intelligent. She is a hunter and a degree from Ohio state.

Your memory is not very good. Her LinkedIn shows degree in Public Affairs, Public Management, Leadership and Policy. State FFA leadership listed. Nothing on biology/hunting.

Then you should support the long gun season.

But for the life of me why in the world does someone need 75 days to shoot a deer with a rifle. Just puts a ton of pressure on them for a long time in my opinion, but that’s just my opinion

That and a 26 year old shouldn't be leading an agency that has almost 800 employees especially since she's already a career politician.

She may turn out fine, and Id gladly accept that, but holy crap I'm super skeptical at the moment.

Don't NEED it, but I certainly enjoy it. I also enjoy being able to pick my days, not having to shoot the first one I see, etc

As a self proclaimed doe hunter, I want my gun season to be as long as possible. I wish it was open till the end of February.

We get 150 +/- days under the Texas MLDP program

I'd suggest that actually decreases the intensity of pressure on our deer. I don't feel any sort of urgency to get out there and get it done and if I end up with other obligations on a weekend it's no big deal (except the first two weeks in November). I make about the same number of hunts per season but they are spread out over 4 months.

Why does using a rifle matter?

Need to know what hunters are staying out in the woods the most.

Are we sure about that?

That blonde looks aged for 26. Trever Lawrence’s brother over her shoulder is a little creepy.
