I'm seeing online that stock 10/22s don't cycle subsonic ammo well, is that true?

Does adding a different spring help?

Anyone have experience with the new 10/22 SBR? Would the 8 or even 10 inch barrel shoot standard ammunition subsonic?

Want to set up a trust for my father in law and I to put it in.

Any suggestions or advice would be helpful.

My advice would be hold off on the suppressor purchase for a little and the trust May go the way of the dodo bird.

This would be in Ohio so that I believe would require a state law change, but I haven't delved further.

I don't mind paying a little to set up the trust which may even be best long term for passing it along after death.

This would be a Christmas "gift" so I'll be likely holding off anyway.

10/22® CARBON FIBER

I have this with a dead air mask 22 lr suppressor

Funniest gun I own. It won't eject the 710fps but cycles 920fps no issues. It is scary quite. I shoot things in my yard and my wife can't hear it through the door. Extremely accurate. Feather light.

This has been my experience as well.

Just recently started thinking about upgrading to a Volquartsen Firefly bolt. Don't want to spend the $ though.

I have a 15/22 with a sonicore skarv suppressor and it makes standard velocity CCI sound like a pellet gun.

I had no idea they updated the 10/22 this year. Its got a lot of the bells and whistles now. I want a carbon.

I run several with cans and integrated suppressed barrels. Never had an issue. The Remington Subsonic 40 grain is what I run. Remington ammo is garbage for accuracy but ok for plinking.

They will run fine with 45gr+ suppressor ammo. Basically everybody makes that these days. The usually wont cycle the super low energy stuff. Some standard velocity ammo is also subsonic.
