re: Any water in Delacroix/Hopedale?
Posted by JonO on 12/9/25 at 3:40 pm to Mister Bigfish
I hunt the WMA regularly. It's hit or miss like any other area. The WMA is regularly bow fished so the birds do not hang out there long since they can't rest at night.
It's weather dependent like anything else. No wind means the birds go south or sit on Lake B. You have to fight the public like any WMA but there's ways to be successful out there.
I would not pay to hunt anywhere near the WMA since it is so big and worth scouting to find where birds are congregating. I would go hunt the WMA a few times before committing to a lease.

South of the dam in the MRGO has been good

Decided I'm gonna go take the boat out tomorrow and see if I can't find some trout. Looks like tide is going to be falling early morning. Any reports from around borgne?
How did you do? I took my kids yesterday (Sat) and small trout and white trout everywhere we stopped. We hit little half moon, china pass and then muscle area. A few bull reds mixed in
re: Spray Foam Insulation for a Camp

I sprayed the bottom of my camp in Hopedale with the Kraken brand. Coverage per can is around 6SF overhead at 2” thick.
It’s a giant pain in the butt and gets all over everything. Be patient.
Make sure you wear a tyvek and a face shield. Buy a spray foam gun with a long nozzle on Amazon and the cleaning foam to spray thru it after. The guns should come with a tip to where you can hold the gun horizontally and the tip sends the material vertically so you can spray overhead. Don’t park your truck or boat nearby - I got overspray on mine smdh

I would not buy a new Pathfinder. Or anything from MBG post-Malibu acquisition. Another friend of mine has to have a 2500 hybrid hull replaced after 6 months because of repeated stress cracks down the chines on both sides. I know another guy with a 23 TRS whose console came loose while running. Both of those were post-acquisition boats.
Good info! I don't want to afford a new one anyways! Thank you I didn't know this
Pathfinder 24

Anyone here own a Pathfinder 2400 or 2200? Feedback? Dry, reasonable ride, issues?
Considering the purchase of an older hull (~2012) to repower and do not see many around Hopedale or Venice area I fish regularly.
They are more popular in Florida and I'm assuming it's because of their draft. Any insight is appreciated..

Definitely bring a bucket and net for them to play with the bait. Hang a left out of campo's and fish the E Side of the MRGO near drains or structure. Run a bit further down till when the rocks start on the W side and fish. Mostly bottom this time of year - good luck and of course bring snacks!
I've heard same about him. He runs out for snapper also it looks like. That's got to be a run from where he is in Hopedale
These three are great options in that area. Most offer lodging. Bayou Slam is a great place to stay if you need just lodging.
