Or get a low back pressure can with “hybrid” tech that performs well at the muzzle and the shooters ear which doesn’t need tuning but performance can be enhanced via adjustable gas block and if the most performance wants to be squeezed from the platform, both buffers and adjustable gas blocks can be utilized optimize the performance of the platform.

Buffers typically used to help tune bolt unlock times and gas block used to tune overall gas volume utilized to cycle bolt

That statement is not factual, especially when considering different hosts and where you are measuring the suppression differential from

I didn’t realize you were wanting one for all three.

In that case go 30 cal can.

The cat odb is great, otter creek infinity is the best 30 cal can performance wise on 556, if you can wait the cat akb is likely another great option.

Again I would still go titanium Hub versions.

Go do some research on pewscience and you will see that 3d printing technology has really changed the industry and the generally accepted truths of days past are no longer true anymore.

And also no matter how much you do with buffer weights and gas blocks it’s still resulting in more recoil and gas in the face than the alternatives.

You would have to wait for the ST but they have some in stock options you can go with. The white bread and alleycat 556 would be good instock options.

The difference between all of those. White bread shortest with highest flow rate, alleycat is standard size which is optimizing sound performance.

The st employs their newest tech but it’s designed tj be their most versatile across differing barrel lengths and gas systems.

These are general recs.

Since you’re probably not burning it down with mag dumps you can go titanium.

Just because it’s so widespread I would stick with something HUB.

That kind of budget will get you the best of the best.

I love me some CAT suppressors.

Their new suppressor that CAT ST should work just fine.
Yeah it’ll take a day or two for all things to process they need to get the suppressors SN first. ATF won’t get your paperwork until about 2 weeks from now
I hope it’s a metal double stack and doesn’t extend the length any further.
Hexarmor goggles we use at work. They have a line that has micro etching in them that is ridiculously fog resistant.

I can go into the freezer at -14F and walk outside and they won’t fog.

I’m sure they have the same tech for glasses

As promised. Every time someone sees one of these deals come across for a sub $200 10/22 it’s a must buy.

A dinky 22 is my favorite gun right now lol

My grandfather gave me his 10/22 when I was younger and my dad and I built it all tacticool until literally everything on the gun was aftermarket minus the receiver.

Eventually I got sentimental about wanting it to be back in more original form so my dad bought a brownells receiver to rebuild the tacticool gun with.

I took all the old parts and rebuilt her in stock form except for buying a Ruger threaded barrel with front sight post.

Then I bought a an otter creek titanium 22k (short can like 3”) and replaced the hammer spring with a volquartsen because I wanted to keep the old metal trigger housing.

It is now by far my most fun gun I own. Combine that setup with ~$100 in steel rimfire targets it’s an absolute blast plinking at 25 yards with the open sights just like when I was a kid.

Something about the open sights make it tha much more fun and “unique” now that everyone has an optic.

I’ll post a pic of it when my immigration m1 garand sling comes in. I think it’s going to look slick on the wood.

I think that’s heavily tied to them stopping operation of their ammo company AAC.

Think it was tied to the inability to get powder at a reasonable price due to military contracts the powder companies were fulfilling.

My guess is once they get their own power production rolling we will see some interesting things from them.

Titanium 22 from otter creek is a favorite for me
I can almost promise she won’t like a snub nose more going smaller in a gun rarely makes it more pleasant tj shoot. The micro compact 9mm are right at the cusp of starting to get snappy.

She may like a larger size 9 or a similarly sized 380

What specially does she not like about the shield I guess I should ask
I honestly believe all these people recommending small revolvers will have a tough time shoot one at a range at 7 yards but hey maybe I’m wrong. I just know I shot pistols a good bit more than most when I was competing and I was not naturally easily able to shoot a revolver well. There’s not much to hang onto they recoil a lot making follow up shots tough especially if you don’t have a good purchase on the gun.

I cannot stress how much these guns are not a beginners guns. They have fairly heavy very long trigger pulls. That can easily be short stroked.

Just think hard before handing her the revolver. If you ever actually go teach her how to shoot it it may be a bad experience.

I would wager a lot of these guys saying they gave it to their wife have never actually had their wife shoot the gun or if they did I’d be willing to be she didn’t shoot it 50 times.

Having a gun doesn’t mean you’re immediately safer. It can get you into larger problems if you don’t have a good grasp on when and how to use it.

All this said I absolutely love my jframe but my wife despises it (this is the norm). My wife enjoys shooting her glock 19 however.
Depends on the size of the purse I guess. Jframe is one of my concealed carry guns but not exacly a beginner gun. Much less a 65 year old woman’s beginner gun.

Maybe one of the larger framed semiauto 380s?

The LCP max is very cool but I haven’t personally shot one to know how easily it shoots being as small as it is.

Glock 42 is one of the larger framed 380s but may be too large for purse carry. The same can probably be said for the 380 version of the 365

Loooked harder at that rockslide thread. Kinda sucks I thought finally silencerco nailed one.

At the very least silencerco warranty is typically good. Bummer they aren’t really addressing the problem tho

Surprised noones mentioning the silencerxo scythe ti. It’s a pretty top of the line bolt gun hunting can. I’m not normally the biggest silencerco fan just because I think there’s some better tech out there but for a a hunting bolt action that doesn’t require a real high tech suppression solution the scythe Ti hits the nail on the head.

As far as suppressors yeah depends what your budget is.

$1000-1200 as said the Cat KK or WB are about as good as it gets. I like inconnel for semiauto ars but for most people y’all aren’t running a rate of fire that even remotely hurts titnatium so go titanium.

$600ish otter creek polonium.

Single shot trust from silencershop is the way to go. It makes the process of applying easier and then anyone you want to add to the trust after the stamp is approved may be do so.

The trusts are like $25 and it’s easier to just have a trust for every nfa item so that when you go to add more you don’t have to have every person on the trust you are adding an nfa item on apply and do fingerprints and passport photos etc.
Single shot trust is by far easiest way to go.

Most industry guys say the form 4 process will take about 6 months to clear backlog.

Right now my van that I bought last week got approved in 2 days. I am impatient so I paid the $200.

I will say there is going to be a big run on the stock of serial numbers that are currently made come Jan 1 too so not only will the atf wait time go long but you may be waiting for the suppressor you want to come in stock for a while.

If your not impatient buying the can now and waiting to file until after the first is a good option but silencershops cutoff is dec15. After that everything will be filed after the first
