I concur on checking eye dominance. I am right handed left eye dominate so I shoot pistols with gun in right hand but rifles and shotguns off left shoulder.
It is definitely a hill worth dieing on nowadays. Maybe 20 years ago sure. But it’s honestly not all that hard or even limiting to be able to get left handed guns. All of my ar15 ar10 bolt actions and shotguns are left eject models and none of them I would say I had to make sacrifices in quality to make that choice.
Sure maybe I have to spend 100-200 more per gun for the left handed version but it is absolutely worth it.

To answer your question. It’s typically around 300/hr ish.
You’ll need to book a 10-12 hour trip to have any real good exciting trip if you’re talking about trolling.
100 proof charters is great another good option would be twilight.

I mean if you have the money the 72’ Viking convertible will run you 40+ knots if you’re willing to push 85-90% engine load everywhere you go.
Not many center consoles are keeping up with you even the 40+ foot Freemans when it gets to be 3-4 footers and they sure as hell aren’t as dry and comfortable as you.
Those tournaments are hard on your body even in an 80’ boat fishing 3 straight days. Much less on a cc without Albert as much room to get out the sun or lay down for a nap or take a refreshing hot shower.
Look I get it the big center consoles can do everything those sportfishers do but if you actually have the money and I’m talking about actually have the money 50-100 mil plus. You’re getting a sportie eventually.

You do not need any cfm rating to air up tires. Yes it’ll slow down a little if you have a ton of restriction but any 150-175 rated compressor will work.
FWIW I use my fortress to run a ton of air powered tools and it’s been a great compressor.

Yeah not pictured but that’s what i mostly used and had the level as a backup. If you follow on Instagram I post updates to my stories way more often and I go into a decent amount of detail.

Got her flipped over and strongback modified to make it more of a workable height.
Getting it straight was a pretty long process but I don’t think I’ll be glassing in any wonky curves to it so I’m happy.
It’s crazy how big the boat feels flipped over.

Yessir it says right on ottercreeks website that the polonium has a 6mm bore and will work with any 243 cartridge.
Here’s a video that shows how well the k can suppresses a 243 bolt gun.

From experience I can tell you a full power 308 even suppressed is going to be too much for training a 6yo to shoot they will not enjoy shooting it enough to actual learn to shoot.
That is not say that a 6yo couldn’t learn to shot on something else and shoot a suppressed 308 a few times to get comfortable and shoot deer with it but they won’t be able to shoot it enough to train and enjoy shooting.
As far as 300blk plenty of people have shot deer with them and reds on reds on reds has some first hand experience with some of the fancy bullets designed for subsonic expansion. But you’ll never get a bang flop and you’ll have to do tracking no matter what if using subsonic.
Supersonic 300blk is more capable of putting down deer than 77gr 5.56 so if I was limited to those two to pick what I’m shooting at deer with I’d go 300blk and shoot supers at it.
Subsonic 308 is pointless as you’re better off with 300blk because of the twist rates as mentioned.
Best solution more guns. Get him a 10/22 out a little cheapo scope on it and let him go to town shooting as many bricks of .06 cent per round 22lr. To me getting a kid comfortable with scopes and aiming and just shooting pays off more than darn near anything.
You mentioned the polonium K. Any thoughts about looking at other rifles but chambered in 243? The polonium K sounds great on a bolt action 243. And I take my 20” barrel 308 with 6” long can into every climber I’ve ever crawled into.
I know it’s another caliber but it would check all of your boxes better than a 556 or 300blk except for subsonic suppression but in my real world experience a heard of pigs are moving out pretty swiftly when one of their buddies are dropped with subsonic 300blk. Granted that’s out of a semiauto so not quite as quiet as bolt gun but still.

I mainly like it for bolt gun application because of the added break at the end. And that’s only an intuition I have zero clue if there’s enough pressure there to really make a difference but it does seem like a good bolt gun can. Especially since bolt guns you don’t have to get too fancy
Nice didn’t know that

These are the suppressors I like for lower budget and no budget.
Also the advancement in suppressor tech these days is so fast something only stays the best for long.
If you can’t tell I’m a huge fan of CAT
22lr
Rugged oculus
Otter creek labs titanium 22
Dead air mask
Cat SR (don’t make anymore)
9mm
Cat street crack
Rugged obsidian
Tirant
Omega 9k
556 only (all semi auto)
Cat WB pricey short can be titanium or stainless
Polonium best budget
Polonium k best budget short
308: * denotes good on 556
Cat Jl optimized for bolt gun.
Silencerco Scythe Ti
Polonium 30* good budget
Cat ODB* highest performing
Cat DD highest performing short

If you like the chassis type rifles go for it.
Suppressors are a whole myriad of what your desires are then you can start narrowing down.

Because it doesn’t matter if nfa goes away and it just becomes a 4473 transfer then you would just transfer it from trust to yourself and be done.
When I say standard velocity I mean the box labeled standard velocity that they advertise at 1070 fps.
Cci standard velocity is for sure subsonic on pistols. It’s subsonic out of my 18.5” barrel. Granted just barely. My garmin measured it at 1080 and speed of sound is 1100fps at sea level.
I haven’t had much experience with the suppressor yet to really see how many of them end up cracking the barrier in a box of 50 since it’s close enough that I’m sure a a few will.
I can understand that comment on a pistol though. The sound difference between a pistol and rifle 22 is kinda dramatic. And the subsonic loadings on pistols help mitigate sound since there’s not as much sunburnt powder exploding in the can. Pistols are still quiet but not nearly as so when compared to rifles so long as the bullet stays subsonic.
I am waiting in the silencershop special 3” ruger 22/45 to see how this suppressor does on it since this suppressor is supposed to be optimized for high pressure short barrels of pistols.

Never had it do that. It illuminates whenever my reverse lights do.
Man which suppressor you running because my rig I just mentioned with standard velocity cci even in the 18.5” barrel is absolutely quite enough for my suburban backyard.

PSA
I bought a ruger 10/22 threaded barrel with the front sight post. When my otter creek lab titanium 22 came in I threw it in on there and took a few shots with cci standard velocity and after inspecting it looked like there was too much lead.
Turns out the suppressor was misaligned when it’s tightened down and caused it to just barely skim the endcap with the bullet.
The front sight post dovetail protrudes ever so slightly and when you tighten it down it will cause the suppressor to get misaligned.
10 mins of removing the dovetails and filing away until it no longer protruded and it’s all fixed.
I sent a email with some pics to make sure the suppressor was good and they said all looked good. He used one of my pics to make an announcement on his insta.

re: Inconel vs Titanium for a 30 cal Supressor

Go titanium for sure on the bolt and even if you end up putting on ar10. Your firing schedule on those applications will never get close to the temp limit.
As for recoil I think the suppressor will do enough mitigation on its own that the j crease in weight for recoils sake isn’t worth it.
My 556 can I did go inconnel tho

Bet you won’t fill a shipping container from China with them.
