re: “Local police will not come physically take your guns”

The mistake lots of folks make is thinking that their guns will be entirely illegal one day.
It won't go from all to nothing. Just little things, like bump stocks, mags over X size, etc. Cops will continue to enforce those laws, just like they do now.
One day, we'll look back and realize that we lost our firearms one little feature at a time.
And they won't come get them. You will have to decide on owning your "illegal" firearm and being "the man of the house" or getting caught with it and 10 years in prison (while your kids grow up without you). Hence, making actually using your firearm highly risky.
How many illegal things do you currently own? Things so illegal that you would go to prison for possessing?
Unfortunately, this process won't be dramatic.

Tboy says this kind of thinking is just plain delusional.

Dude, the secretary of health is a transgender.
I think it’s reasonable for some to be concerned with where our country is and is heading.

Indeed it did! I actually can say you are 100% correct since I experienced that travesty first hand!! Anyone who is not concerned about firearm confiscation possibly occurring very soon is just burying their head in the sand and refusing to see the writing on the wall. The government will infringe upon and even take away any and all of our constitutional rights that they please as long as we sit by and allow them to do so! We are very close to losing our way of life that many of our forefathers fought and died for yet the majority of sheep either do not believe, or do not care that it is happening right in front of their faces!!!

They won’t outlaw guns. They’re constitutionally protected. But ammo, accessories, and on what you can and can’t do with them, like carry, registration, ownership fee, etc, will make you not want to own them. And they’re gonna tax the tar out of gun and ammo manufacturers, to the point where they and their customers can’t afford to stay in the game. So they won’t outlaw guns, they’re gonna regulate you out of the gun ownership business. This won’t end well. Lots of people building a stockpile they think they’ll need. That’s small minded. You need to be building a stockpile your kids and grandkids will need. Think long term, big picture. If we don’t stop them from rigging elections, we’re going down this road a lot sooner than later.

Was it nopd or outside law enforcement that obeyed that illegal seizure order?
Whoever mentioned that cops and soldiers will protect their paychecks and retirement plans was totally correct. But Imo if it comes down to large scale crap they will be protecting their families.
Had a local officer tell me that the Gwinnett PD was highly trained in riot control. I asked him if there were thousands of civilians shooting at each other what would they do. He stated that their officers told them to choose a side and good luck.

I know personally one of the people mentioned in the book. THe shame of it is, when law abiding American citizens needed their 2nd amendment right the most - it was eviscerated by the local fiefdom.

It should also be noted that for YEARS NOPD would seize guns if they were discovered in a traffic stop and you couldn't prove you purchased it legally. Many people in this situations guns were never returned or "lost" by NOPD.

Will the ban on "assault weapons" include the police' assault weapons? Will have to, right?

Just like the coal power business. We were the Saudi Arabia of coal and they shut that down.

Is speeding illegal for cops?

~20%

I don’t believe they would want to do it. It would be a do it or get fired and many wouldn’t have a choice but to do it or feed the family. Yes there would be some that do it for the power, but a large majority would only do it to keep a check coming.
