Does anyone know of any fishing charter companies that can take 15-20 ppl out on one boat? In the past I've used Ed Pitre with Southern Pride, but I can't get in touch with him anymore.

I want to have all my people on one boat...I'm not interested in hiring 4-5 boats and splitting people up.

Ideally, I'm looking for someone around Port Fourchon or Grand Isle area. Thanks.

my cousin goes by the mississippi casinos and goes on a big arse boat that takes like groups of 60 people offshore. he says its like $60 a head to go and its fast and fun fishing but the ride out and back is slow

Is there such a thing? I thought charters could only have so many. I did go on something like what youre speaking of in Key West.

You could charter the Cougar out of Venice it could take your group out for snapper and such that's about the only thing that comes to mind.

I used to use Steve for this. But, he sold out to Ed Pitre years ago. That's when I started using Ed.

The Cougar is still around? If its the same boat, that hull is at least 40 years old. I went on that boat with my dad when was a kid. At the time it was docked at Battistellas in Empire.

I see Southern Pride charters still advertising trips on FB. Maybe send them a message on there.

Ed would be the only one. Contact his wife Jamie Pitre on FB. He is hard to get ahold of.

We did it in Gulf Shores last year and will again in a few weeks. They have some boats at Zeke’s that can accommodate up to 30 people. Took the ball team out with most of the dads and caught a 22 man limit of snapper, with some bonus fish. It’s pretty fun

yes they dock in empire.
but....they fuel and clean fish at VM, and you'd better be done when they get there because they block the dock and the cleaning station and vomit out two dozen sunburned socks & sandals wearing clients who then crowd around the cleaning tables getting in everybody else's way

We were on the Sea Hunter last year. Had a good trip. Easily limited out on illusive Red Snapper, but nothing huge.

This year we're on one called the Summer Breeze II. We'll see. I know when they hit the dock last year the rolled out some beasts..

Steve sold his boat to the Pitre’s and they moved the boat to the island, Bridgeside, IIRC. They are still on the FB and booking trips.

He was out of Fourchon but moved to Wakeside, which is better because it was an hour ride from where he docked to the get past the Fourchon Jetties. Waaaayyyy less idle time now.
