If my game was within 200 yards, 9.3X62 for sure.

I'd go with the 35 Whelen, since I won't take shots past 200
yards.

It might be on the lightish side for a Grizz, but I would use a heavy bullet for caliber in that situation.

Ideal for moose and elk, and very suitable for deer, imo.

Again, no long shots for me.

Everything everywhere?

.375 ruger or .375 H&h. Possibly a .416 if I could handle the recoil.

I ain't frickin with no pea shooter in big bear country. Supposedly those big calibers are excellent whitetail killers also, less destructive than the high speed belted mags and guaranteed exits. I actually wouldn't mind having a .375 ruger to shoot deer with just because the rifles it's chambered in are so cool.

I had read that too. I have a 45/70 I want to use. They say A big slow flat face bullet will pass clean through and leave a lot of blood for a trail of it's not a bang flop.

375 sucks for packing, mine weighs over 11lbs. Recoil isnt bad though.
