Sounds like something a man with a joint Facebook page with his wife would say.

Rather than make fun of you personally, I'll just point out that most social animals, like dogs, have emotions. They aren't exactly like humans' and don't reason in the same way, but they do.

As for the rest of this thread, yes nature is harsh. But, supposedly, morality is what makes man different than most other animals. Intentionally causing suffering in an animal is the opposite of moral.

I've probably killed as many animals as most people here, but I've done it as quickly and humanely as possible.

I don't care if they are tied up and starve to death, mutilated, or poisoned. Stuff dies in the woods every day. Coyotes cripple possums and coons that suffer and die all the time. It's nature. It has no soul and no feelings.

When I first read this I was a little surprised that someone could be so openly abhorrent. I guess I forgot where I was for a second.

You're free to feel a certain way, but you will never be taken seriously as a sportsmen with those ethics. You are not a wild animal, you have the ability to control a creatures suffering. You may not give a shite one way or the other but the people who aren't old enough to start hunting would probably appreciate it if you did a better job of representing sport hunting culture.

shite like this makes us all look bad. Make an effort to portray hunters in a positive light. Be a good predator.

Whatever you say man. I am in no way equating a dogs life to a humans life, but to say they have no feelings is kind of crazy. They cry, get mad, get anxious, get happy, etc.

I've not spent much time around a coyote personally, but i would be they have the same 'feelings'.

i'll be damned if your wounded shot wasn't due to some form or fashion of negligence on your part. Didn't practice enough, didn't sight in rifle properly, made a bad judgement on a shot and the list goes on. Those are all same damn shades of lighter grey as willful shot in the gut. Don't prop yourself up on such a high horse cause it just makes for a tougher fall.

lol gtfo with that false equivalency shite. The hunter in the OP PURPOSEFULLY shot to wound because he is too lazy to drag it off. big difference.

the best hunters in the world still slip up every now and then. if you're surprised when you hit something you shouldn't be shooting.

The problem is that this has little to do with coyotes and a lot to do with how many anti hunters there are....if you post things on Facebook that makes hunters look like douches, someone who didn't really care about hunting before might be the next PETA member because of a careless FB post. Big deal you say? Well, once there are enough of those bleeding hearts, they start getting Anti hunting laws passed....for example, see California, where all of the hippies living in San Francisco and Los Angeles urban sprawl can vote to regulate hunting or farming in the other 99% of the State, where they probably never even set foot.

A thoughtless FB post might freak someone out and make them anti hunting, and converting someone who doesn't care about hunting to an anti hunter can never work out in our favor.
