Same here.....emptied it....I only found where one "shot" got the ole doe in the neck....must have been right in the jugular, she dropped like a ton of bricks. I was 13 or 14yrs old.

^This, at age 11 I believe. Iron sights too. Damn button buck had a death wish. Took me four times to hit him and he just kept walking closer.

Savage .270, same one I shoot now. I was 15. My second deer hunt ever. First hunt by myself. I don't think I've ever seen as many deer in one hunt again as I did that hunt. At least not while sitting in one spot.
