frick all that nonsense. He has no right to a spot on a public lake. Don't matter how much work he put into it

While I agree whole-heartedly with this I will add that putting out brushpiles IS A LOT of work. Maybe the OP could spend some time putting out his own brush piles and spread the wealth

Not taking the craziness as acceptable, but regarding the rest there are two sides to a coin FWIW

I can't believe this post gets all down votes. I agree and you can down vote me too. I doubt any of the down voters are fishermen.

Because it makes zero sense that you should get mad at people fishing a public lake.

Ding Ding, it's the flats out from the public launch which is the most popular fishing area in the whole lake for someone with down/side imaging due to the brush piles.

We have a dock with brush piles we've put out and have green underwater lights that people to fish nightly half a mile from these flats. Like I told this guy, we can't run people off from fishing our lights/dock and legally neither can he. The time and money we've both spent on attractants on a public lake are just that, public, but he wasn't having it.

At this point I'm hoping with the bigger dollar tournaments on the schedule next month someone else fishes his stuff and calls for me after his fits

If its a PUBLIC lake and I stumble upon a brush pile that someone else put out, and no one is fishing it, and I decide I want to fish it, I'm gonna fish it. IDGAF who put it out, or how much work it was to put out. If you put out brush piles in a PUBLIC lake, don't expect people to treat it like its a PRIVATE lake. If you don't like it, tough shite. Go buy some land with a PRIVATE lake if you don't want anyone else fishing it. You expect me to start calling around to every swinging dick who put out brush piles, and ask their permission to fish it? GTFO with that shite.

You sound like a real tuff guy there Baw

We have a camp in an area where we know everyone, so we don't act like assholes to one another.

There are community holes but if some old man goes through the trouble to build his own, we respect it unless he says otherwise.

Here's the problem with that mentality on a public lake.

BAW #1 puts out his own brush pile and tells everyone they can't fish it.
BAW #2 puts out his own brush pile and tells everyone they can't fish it.
BAW #3 puts out his own brush pile and tells everyone they can't fish it.
BAW #4 puts out his own brush pile and tells everyone they can't fish it.
BAW #5 puts out his own brush pile and tells everyone they can't fish it.
BAW #6 puts out his own brush pile and tells everyone they can't fish it.
BAW #7 puts out his own brush pile and tells everyone they can't fish it.
BAW #8 puts out his own brush pile and tells everyone they can't fish it.
BAW #9 puts out his own brush pile and tells everyone they can't fish it.
BAW #10 puts out his own brush pile and tells everyone they can't fish it.
Etc, etc, etc...

Pretty soon, the average joe or some visitor from out of town/state has nowhere to fish on a PUBLIC lake because everyone carved out territories.

Not trying to sound tough, but what if I were to go fish the PUBLIC lake where your brush piles are, am I supposed to not fish any brush piles because someone else put them out and they didn't give me specific permission? If I don't know anyone with a camp there, am I just not allowed to fish any brush pile at all? Do yall mark your brush piles with your name and phone number, that way if someone you do not know stumbles upon it, they can call you and ask if its okay for them to fish there? How can it be YOUR brush pile when its not even YOUR lake? If I'm fishing a PUBLIC lake, and someone approached me and told me I wasn't allowed to fish a specific spot, I would first laugh at them because that's insane. Then, if they continued to harass me, they would get told to frick off. And if that didn't stop, then I would get the authorities involved all while anchoring the frick down in that spot just to be an a-hole.

ETA: I'm not a tough guy, but this type of shite pisses me off bigly. Jerkoffs that think they own the water. They have no more right to fish there than I do. If they don't like it, they can go suck a dick.

They are not your tops to fish. This is an unspoken rule around False River. Put your own tops down and see how you feel about others fishing them.

Don't put out brush piles on a PUBLIC lake if you don't want them to get fished by the public. How is this so fricking hard to understand? Its not your lake...
