On a public lake tell him to go pound sand.
Tell him if he harasses you again that you will call wildlife and fisheries.

Moving the brush piles is the only answer.

Post the coordinates and a picture of a box of fish on FB.

Problem will take care of itself.

Dyin ain’t much of a living..I’d quit fishing there if you really wanted to de escalate the situation. The dude is clearly hot and despite wanting to whip his butt, I’d leave it alone. All the other options leave you anxious from here on out despite cameras and the law on your side.

This is the best solution. If he is this crazy over this issue, he's crazy about a lot of other stuff too. He'll likely eventually end up in jail, dead or broke. Give him a wide berth, and let Darwinism take its course.

These are the same guys who will light your blind on public land on fire with you in it if you get to their spot before them.

For better or likely worse, I'm too petty for that. I'd probably fish it 7 days a week.

Call LDWF prior to your next outing and let them know what’s going on, if he shows up again call them and leave it on speaker…harassment will result in a ticket/fine for him eventually he’ll get tired of paying them and leave you alone

Or sink some brush 10-15 feet from his brush piles and tell him to frick off next time he shows up

I even tried working with this guy and told him if he had a tournament this week I'd back off the spots and he immediately started saying "what about next week? And the next? You gonna be back out here on my spots blah blah blah"

frick all that nonsense. He has no right to a spot on a public lake. Don't matter how much work he put into it

Got a good buddy on an east Texas lake that has sunk (a ton with my help) brushpiles in his cove and nearby coves. He just loves doing it. Create some habitat and cover for the fish.

He also has his dock/boathouse lit up like an alien landing pad.

Guess what? People fish them. All the time. And it’s ok. Now he has had instances where people have snagged his light cables and or busted his lights. That’s kind of a pain but it comes with the territory. I guess if you live and fish on a public lake you have to get along with everyone.

The guy messing with you doesn’t seem to know this. True harassment is illegal. Maybe your best bet is start with LDWF and then local sheriff department to get a feel on what can be done. If he is contacted by either maybe he will stop. Of course he could go the other way and escalate further in which case you’ll just have to ignore him or stop fishing those BPs. Or sink your own and fish them. Fishing is supposed to be fun right?

Where we have our camp, you don't fish other people's holes unless they ok it.

Go cut some willows and make your own.

Probably False River.

I'd get authorities involved.

The right answer would be get with the sherrif/warden and see if they'll do anything.

The fun thing to do would be post the video and locations of all of his brush piles so a flotilla could show up and fish them. It'd burn the spots, though.

Assuming you are an able bodied 30 year old what is stopping you from making your own brush piles. I have serious issues if you just rolled up on one and this dude harassing you but you seem to be dead set on fishing them and are doing it often and basically poking the bear. It isn’t worth it just get off your arse and make some for yourself. Again if your body allows you to do so.

If he is following you that much, a spool of 65 pound braided line might accidentally unspool from your boat and wrap straight into his prop. Or maybe 50’ of synthetic winch line might slow his boating operations for a while.

Where are these brush piles? You should post them publicly so they can be fished. Is this a private lake? I have a feeling it's not. It's wild when people claim an area due to the work they put in when that area is open to public access. If you want private brush piles, go dig a pond.
