Harassment on a Local Lake

Curious how y'all would handle a harassment issue I'm dealing with.
Been fishing some brush piles for going on a year now in a flat on a local lake, but for the last 5 weeks or so this guy's been yelling at me, casting over my lines, and been motoring over the piles that I'm fishing.
He says he's the one that put them out and that I'm disrespecting his hard work. I'll be out there at 9am and he just rolls up right on me every week and starts yelling and screaming being confrontational. A few weeks back he followed me down the lake, and it got so bad that I got 10 minutes of him crying and moaning on video in case he did anything dumb.
Is a call to the LDWF the only and best way to handle this?
Only thing is I don't want is this guy to go from his current level of crazy to crazier when he gets wind that authorities get involved since my house, dock, and boat are on the Lake 365.

Call the law. Let them handle it.

Sounds like the only way it doesn't escalate it to stop fishing there. He definitely sounds crazy. Personally I would video and call ldwf and start carrying once they come out. What I would like to do but only with no consequences would be to jump in his boat and beat his arse. Put cameras up, the tech board can recommend a lot of good ones for your boat and house. Only way I back down is if my kids were with me because I'm not putting them in danger.

This.
Set up cameras all over your dock/house. Then, and only then, call the law.
Scream at me all you want, I don’t care. Come to my house where my family is…. Well, this will result in a very different response.

What a dumbass.
I'd be careful though he sounds quite unstable and doesn't sound like it would take much for him to pull a gun out

Wrap your boat in a Sonic wrap.
If he knows he knows and will stay away

He's around my age, probably mid 30's.
Only reason I'm holding off on calling the Wildlife agents is because I know when they get involved it's gonna escalate. When licenses get revoked and hundreds in fines start happening there's no telling what will happen.
Maybe I'll ask this week if we need to get ldwf involved?
I even tried working with this guy and told him if he had a tournament this week I'd back off the spots and he immediately started saying "what about next week? And the next? You gonna be back out here on my spots blah blah blah"

Dude sounds nuts and there’s nothing you can do to make him sane. Law coming in might make it worse. Sink his boat so he can’t fish and you won’t see him for a while.

I would have called LDWF right away. Forget how much the ticket is but he will get the point eventually.

I think I'm gonna grab a couple of Blink Cameras to watch over the driveway and boat house this week before I escalate things with the law. With how he's acting I wouldn't doubt he goes destructive on me and my property being right there on the Lake and having a unique boat in the area. Once those get installed if he keeps up this nonsense I'll call the ldwf while he's doing the usual harassment and go from there.
Just don't want sugar in the gas tank or the plug to get pulled in the lift before I get some surveillance

You’re gonna have to whip his arse.

Hope you take a gun with you while fishing.

To give you an honest answer. LDWF hate calls like this and would likely tell you to kick rocks since no crime has been committed. Those guys are so short staffed, they do not have time to deal with BS like this. If he follows you again, that might get their attention but if you call them saying this guy is yelling at you and messing up your fishing on a big arse lake, they will probably just laugh. Call law enforcement for crimes, not because you are aggravated at someone.

Stay away from them Vossberg’s tops

Isn't harassment of a sportsman a fineable offense?

A crime has been committed. It’s against the law to harass anyone who is legally hunting or fishing.
I’d call LDWF and I’d always fish there with a sidearm on my hip. frick this dude.

Dyin ain’t much of a living..I’d quit fishing there if you really wanted to de escalate the situation. The dude is clearly hot and despite wanting to whip his butt, I’d leave it alone. All the other options leave you anxious from here on out despite cameras and the law on your side.

Dive down, tie off to his brush piles and tow them to a different spot

Don't even need to dive down. Couple of grappling hooks and you could destroy his brush piles. Just drag the hell out of them.
