Someone with more experience will have to answer you on that.

All the fishing i have usually done is more in the grand isle area. I would assume so however.

yes - typically referred to as the barges. Large rocks come out below the water so be careful and don't get too close when surf is rolling. I have had a lot of success specifically at the ones more to the east of the group for whatever reason. Fish near the surf early am then move to the barges - good pattern early. Also try some Carolina rig live bait if not getting much under a cork. Rising tide better from my experience. Good Luck!

On Elmer's they were. Seemed better early in the morning whatever reason.

Also, watched a dude reel in a few trout with a fly rod this morning. That was a new one.

Caught some hammers on the beach this morning and a few decent ones inside too. Put 75 in the box.

Heading down tomorrow. Trout fishing saturday morning, then going to get some snappa in the afternoon. Might try to surf fish Sunday morning just for the experience. I have never done it.

Great place to fish but not as intuitive as folks think - plenty of fish to be caught when conditions are right and if I cant be there, may as well have another boat out there making memories!

I'll be in GI next week. It's been ages since I've fished down there. Any advice on where and how to do this? Not looking for industry secrets, just looking for some advice to try to catch a few.
