HEaded down there right now to fish the surf this afternoon. Might try to hit the barges or might just go out of the elmer’s Island parking lot. Not sure yet.

Where do y’all buy yall’s croakers from around Elmer’s island?

They may have them at Coastal Bait, which is right by the vehicle entrance to Elmer's.

Was able to fish this AM then had to hit the road back home but we managed another pretty good box before the bite died.

They were killing speck rigs this morning.

If you don’t mind saying, where should I go in the a.m. surf on Elmer’s, or on the island by the jetties? I was going to head towards 4-bayous but I would rather catch them closer.

It was a north wind the last two mornings. Very favorable for beach side. After lunch, it’s been out the SE-S.

Tomorrow, you are looking at a S wind all day.
The Good thing, it will be very moderate. 12 mph or less.

I’d try to wack em on the beach side again in the AM. If the bite is slow or sporadic, I’d look at the tide and go fish moving water on bay side marsh as lunch approaches and the afternoon.

Best chance of Redfish will be in the big passes or bay runouts this afternoon and tomorrow morning, with the south wind.
