Surfs gonna be rough all week it looks like. I’ll be there the following weekend so hopefully it’s quiet by then.

It got sporty Friday morning and blew its arse off all weekend. Still had great time at camp and filled a few gallon ziplocks with filets.

Caught a few in surf. But once hooked boat up and got ready to go, the wind started howling. Most were caught in bay trying stay protected. Once wind switched out of southeast, was able to find pockets of cleaner water and some fish. That northeast wind Friday destroyed the bay.

Saturday we were able to find protected clean moving water and put 40 specs in the boat and a couple reds.

What is the OB's opinion for the weekend? South wind steady through Monday so I am guessing the surf/barges will be pretty stirred up and dirty. I was planning on a trip to Fourchon and may still try it in the bay around Casse-tete or Calumet Island to get out of the wind assuming water is not as dirty in the bay. Any thoughts other than "you certainly wont catch any from baton Rouge"
