Brown stain on boat hull - best way to remove?
Posted by hunt66 on 4/30/25 at 8:31 pm
Just purchased a used bay boat. Previous owner did not wash underside regularly and bottom half of hull is stained. Any recommendations on best product and method to restore? I know I need to wax after whatever treatment option I decide.
Thanks in advance!

Power out in Elliott /Tiger Bend area so not all are good in St George. Safe though and generator is about to be running!
Grilling at the camp with some of the guys who like me are crazy enough to hunt in this heat tomorrow - Geaux Tigers!!!!

So hard to believe its been 8 years already! I remember a deer hunt with he and his son that year that had 3 of us crammed in a box stand, EJW's chair giving out which gave us all a good laugh and forced he and his son to share chair providing an unforgettable picture of them, and a very exciting hunt with several shots fired from little EJW but no kills - what a great time spent with a great man!
printed mine this week. no fee.

West Feliciana - Back in same stand. 2 Doe and 6 pt earlier. Watching this weather and eating for a pig or deer to stroll in!
Oh Yea - for those wondering, mosquitoes are just as thick as they were this morning!

West Feliciana Parish
72 degrees and humid!
Plenty of mosquitoes in case anyone is wondering
Loc on in oak flat. Edge of transition from slope with mixed pine/hardwood.

Thank you both for keeping us informed!
Coordinate with your dive charter where you are going. I’ve had friends do all coursework here and get certified while we all dove together. Just a thought if you get in a bind for time.
Quick hijack - please check all ladders, loc on straps and safety belts prior to that first hunt. Also consider a lifeline if you are not already using one.
To OP’s question, sitting in a tree in West Feliciana looking over an oak flat with intersecting travel paths waiting on a Deer or a hog to meander through. Let’s all pray for cooler weather!!

Just replaced this in my 2011 at 210k mikes. If you decide not to fix it check oil often so it does nit get too low.
We left Morans about 2:30 this afternoon heading back to BR and must have been just ahead of it. When we made the turn in Leesville heading north it was not long before we saw fire and rescue, state troopers and LDWF lights on and rolling heading that way - glad we were not in that traffic!
Thanks for the opportunity!

Quick question - do you keep your lab on a leash when tracking? Had a beagle for 14 years but had to put him down this year. Have a black lab and did some training at the end of the season and plan to train her to track now. Bandit was easy to handle on leash during a track but lab is much larger!
