re: Best value bay boats - WHODAT514
a 200 sho is a beast on the 2104 hull though. Whodat has one
Yes it is. It’s a different animal then the regular 200. I wouldn’t own this hull with a 150. Although it would push it fine the extra hp is nice for loads. I ran 58 yesterday with half tank, 3 guys and a fishing load. ...

re: F-150 4WD - WHODAT514
reliability. I had a 14 fx4 fully loaded with the ecoboost and I really didn't like it. It pulled anything I hooked up to it but getting 8 mpg pulling a bay boat or duck boat was terrible. I traded it in on a 17 xlt with the 5.0 v8. I don't regret it at all. only things I don't have it the leath...

re: Prop Help - WHODAT514
seapickle knows his stuff when it comes to props. I have the same boat with the 200 Yamaha sho. its on a 12" plate and I have the 20" shaft. I talked to bo about my performance with my saltwater series 2 prop, and he said leave it how it is. I run 40 mph at 4k rpms and its usually stays that way...

re: 2017 Ford F-150: 2.7 Ecoboost or 5.0 V8 - WHODAT514
I had a 14 fx4 with the 3.5 ecoboost with a leveling kit and 35s. I got 8-10 pulling 22’ bay boat and avg 14-16. Stock it got 18-20 hwy and that’s at 55. I traded it in for a 17 xlt 5.0 and I’m very happy with my decision. It pulls better and gets better gas mileage. 12 pulling boat and 18 avg ci...
Pickle I know you and whodat are making the SD cards for south LA. Question if you're cool with answering? How easy is it to make the cards? I've checked out the videos online and it seems not so bad, but I'm curious about the zoom ability. I want to be able to really zoom in and get a good l...

re: Maurepas Swamp Duck Hunting - WHODAT514
we had a camp on blind river across from red top hunting club. I don't remember being I was too young but I have tons of pics from my dads hunts and glory days of the swamp. He's told me tons of stories and how much green they used to kill. it died off in the late 80s early 90s. he told me they walk...

re: iPilot runtime question - WHODAT514
First off, you should not have your radio and GPS hooked up to the same batteries as your trolling motor
This! Nothing besides trolling motor is to be hooked to them. Run it to cranking battery or a house battery. Also I'd jump up to size 27 batteries. I have a 24v 80 lb I pilo...

re: Running backyard drainage outlet to street - WHODAT514
I did this to my old house. I had the lines located and ran my drain pipe out to the street. I used a piece of extra pipe and hammered it thru under the sidewalk, once I got it under I pressured washed it to rid it of the dirt and connected it to the rest of the pipe. it ended up coming out right at...

re: Xpress bay boats-worth the $$$$ - WHODAT514
I'm not sure what the issue could be. But they are mass produced and I know they don't use the thickest aluminum like custom builders do. My buddies excel is only a fewmonths old. He's not real happy but this cat broke welds on a custom mud boat so who knows what he did ...

re: Xpress bay boats-worth the $$$$ - WHODAT514
My buddy has an excel 203 bay pro and his welds broke on the hull somwhere. He didn't tell me where but looks like some stringers busted. But like one just said it can happen. I have another friends who has had his excel bay pro for a year or so and is selling it soon for a fiberglass bay boat.....
Whodat rode with in one night from the pickets in some heavy seas, he knows the difference in the 20 and 22.
Yep and I was very surprised how how much better it rode and handled. But the 20' to 22' price difference is about 8-10k when adding extras and the bigger motor. Seapick...
I think I'm sold on the xpress bay boat with larger engine and power pole(s).
as long as you don't plan on taking it out of the marsh..first trip to the islands you will want to sell it. also yes lots of welds breaking on them. ...

re: Xpress bay boats-worth the $$$$ - WHODAT514
I had a 20' h bay and used it for four years and sold it for what I paid for it. They hold their value for sure. Are they worth the money? That depends on what you want. A 20' is around 30k now with extras. My buddy paid 38k for. 22' I can't justify that kinda money on a big name mass produced a...
