or quarter the game you catch or kill?
I think I got lucky. My wife is a real trooper, she’ll help quarter and debone venison, and is not afraid to gut, scale or skin fish.

Post kill processing is a family event here. Between me, the wife, sometimes the father-in-law, and our kids, it’s a debone, steak, grind, weigh-out, vacuum seal production line.

I do all of the skinning and my wife does the processing. She says I get in her way so I’m good with that arrangement.

My wife doesn’t even care enough about hunting to come look at the deer I kill so no.

Absolutely not
She does like to kill em though. It's just my problem after she does.

No
Not pushing my luck. I feel like I am doing good with her able to back up the boat trailer at the launch.

No, my wife can't even shred rotisserie chicken without getting grossed out.

Yes. My wife writes the date and contents on the vac bags for me.
ETA: When I fill poly bags with grind meat she will use the tape machine to seal them.

Are you kidding, mine rode to processor with me once and nearly threw up.
They had the deer hanging in all different stages of cleaning

She helps me with the processing part. Bagging, Stuffing, Grinding, etc
Deer are already quartered when I get them home. I do the debonning and all that

Impressive
Best part is my wife is a city girl from northern Ohio who happened to marry a South Louisiana Cajun. She was a bit shocked at her first family gathering when everyone, women included, had a firearm. However, she adapted quickly and is now an NRA Pistol Instructor as well as a CCW instructor.
She hunts with bow and rifle, enjoys quail hunting, shooting skeet and loves the outdoors. Doesn’t care for fishing but that’s ok.

My gf will cut ribcages fishing, and help with packaging of the venison. Truthfully, that’s all the extra hands I need.

this
my processing routine is to wake up at like 3 am and process the deer on my backporch, sipping coffee and listening to music/podcast
I'll be done before the family wakes up
I rather enjoy it, honestly, as with 2 small kids in my house, its the most peaceful thing I'll do most days

She'll help wrap meat. Her preference is to just label the stuff, which is a huge help. She'll help wrap/bag it if I ask though.
