I have one that my uncle made back in 1986. He died a few years ago, so it's more of a keepsake for me. I can't get it to sound anything remotely like a turkey. He used to say it was one of his favorites and always wore it around his neck hunting. Maybe I just suck at it. ...

Last time I posted this recipe I got blasted with down votes, but we personally love it. I marinate cut up breast chunks in some ranch dressing and jalapeños with juice then use a Louisiana chicken fry pack and fry them. I keep thighs and legs a and slow cook them and make tacos. ...

Best meat I've had from an animal I've killed has been Scimitar oryx or pronghorn. Nilgai is good too but didn't kill one. Broke horn oryx is the best deal in Texas. They are extinct in Africa. I had some kudu biltong from South Africa couple years ago. Damn it was hard to eat. ...
