Sucker would have been a long way from home if that were the case and much bigger than 75 lbs. They have a few bears on this property as well. 2k acres private property

I took this photo two years ago near Harrisonburg LA. Size 11 boot for reference. What says the OB jungle cat or not? Was walking down the lane to retrieve the hog i just shot.

I can't tell from your pic but are the toenails in the mud or not? That is the telling feature to me as cats retract their claws.

What would be considered a large carnivore in La...when I hear that I think Grizzlies and Lions, not bobcats and coyotes.

Seems like a pretty laid back job in La.

Bears are her main job. Even though they are omnivores

bottle of scotch or bourbon for whomever can say correctly when the last documented cougar was east of the MS river in LA and where... GO...

I am betting this one is an escapee....

in a perfect world it would be a FL panther.. but.. I wouldn't bet on it.

is there a link to that one above

they had one run over on the east coast last year that came from south Dakota, so they do roam.

They had a wolf at the grand canyon earlier this year that came from Idaho.

Old cajun stories claim that they were in Intracoastal City back in the 40's. Also in Chenier au Tigre. But that's west, not east of Mississippi.

When I was a kid, my family was traveling to Perry, FL. A florida panther chased a butterfly right in front of our car and we hit it. Happened so fast we couldn't avoid hitting it.

Yeah. CSB

Yes I think the last documented florida panther in LA was very near Intracoastal City...

EDITED: This image has turned out to be a hoax. Thanks to our friends The Cougar Network we have determined this is the same image of a cougar on the Internet (originally taken from a trail cam in Oklahoma). The image was cleverly photoshopped into an image of a site in Tangipahoa parish that our staff visited after we received the report. See original Internet image below.
