Death sentence.

I remember the story, I live across the river from it in Shreveport. To me, it was egregious because they didn't really consider the gravity of their actions at the time. When the story broke my first thought was it was a wild one following the river (That's how he got in town). We were assured by the authorities it was an escaped pet and had to be put down. Turns out, this article was the first proof I heard about the dna being from a wild group, thus confirming my suspicions. Why was there not more of a follow up on this part of the story?

In the end, had no one noticed him, he would have made his way on out of town after dark that fateful day.

I don't think safety was as big of a concern as they made it out to be. This was a great opportunity to let nature take it's course and some jack off blast him, because there ain't supposed to be cougars in Louisiana.

Way to go Bossier Police Dept. kill our first wild one in NWLA trying to establish itself. I doubt they got fined, but I know I would.

Donyall want less deer? Do y'all want less pets? Do y'all want more attacks?

I'm honestly just trolling at this point, but I want nature to take it's course uninterrupted more than just wanting cougars here specifically.

Don't be scared homie.

We have more white tail deer now than when the Europeans first arrived. I don't think our deer are in any danger of going anywhere.

I've seen the pic floating around on FB. The reason nobody is posting it, is because its not theirs to post.

I was just coming here to post this to all the ignorant sumbitches that had smart arse remarks about the pictures I posted. I was shocked that people think we don't have cougars.

Do you have the pictures in question, or other pics?

I still haven't seen the pics referenced in the article.

There are several photos in this thread that were taken 2 weeks before the ones in Morehouse Parish. These were taken in Northeast Union Parish.

Have you ever lived somewhere with a healthy mountain lion population? It's really not a big deal.

Deer where I'm at are over populated and I'd love for a big cat to take out my neighbor's annoying rat dogs.

They live in Michigan, but the state's DNR denies it because the feds would force them to start a task force and they don't have the funds. There has been a long-standing shoot, bury, and shut up policy for farmers and other landowners.

I heard they cut him open and found 3 wedding rings and half a dozen dog collars.

No telling how many unmarrieds and collarless he's had!

I took this photo two years ago near Harrisonburg LA. Size 11 boot for reference. What says the OB jungle cat or not? Was walking down the lane to retrieve the hog i just shot.
